After 5 Weeks, Who Do You Like in the NFC?

9ers have the most disruptive D in the NFC that everyone is sleeping on. Jimmy’s lack of arm strength bothers me though. Their first true test will come Sunday at the Rams.

Saints, Packers, Seahawks, Rams and maybe the Eagles will all be beating each other up. Watching the NFC take shape will be fun to watch.

Rankings thru 5 weeks:

New Orleans
Seattle
Los Angeles
Philadelphia
Green Bay
Detroit
San Francisco
Chicago
Carolina
Tampa Bay
Minnesota
Dallas
Falcons
New York Giants
Arizona
Washington

Seahawks
Saints
Rams
Packers
Eagles
Niners

Cowboys and Bears are frauds, the Panthers are overachieving

Jimmy G and San Fran.

Christian McCaffrey the best two way player in the League?? The kid's a threat both running and catching he's fun to watch.

How is Detroit ahead of San Francisco?

They should be 3-1 if not for playing a lot of prevent D in week 1 to let the Cardinals tie it up. They also beat the Chargers, the Eagles in Philly, and played a tight game vs. the Chiefs that was decided on a fumble return for TD.

San Francisco opened the season with a win over Bucs on the road, Cincinnati on the road, and the Steelers (minus Big Ben) at home before shellacking Cleveland at home last night in a game that should have been 14-10 just before halftime if Callaway doesn't let the ball bounce off his hands.

We'll see how the Lions do @ Lambeau on MNF.....

It’s just amazing how unbalanced the leagues are. In the AFC it’s the Pats and Chiefs and then the abyss. NFC has half a dozen decent teams.

I wonder if Brees’ forced vacation isn’t helping them by giving him rest. Philly is good, but I really don’t love Wentz.

Saints and it’s not really close.

Russel Wilson is having a great season.
I like Seattle. I also like Philly.

I think NO, LA, GB, SF are solid, but pretenders. Maybe NO will finish with the best record, but I see them flaming out as has become customary.

He has become their "Tom Brady" meaning he is carrying a mediocre cast
(Which has happened here a few times)

Yeah. I love Russell, but I don’t know if they have enough on defense to beat NO or even GB.

Super Bowl Preview:

I like Washington. Big test this weekend against the Dolphins. If they can win in Miami, they could run the table all the way to the SB.

Green Bay is my NFC pick right now. I think this is one of the better rosters Rodgers has had to work with.

only loss was a Thursday game. They won 2 road games against quality opponents, something that has eluded Rodgers in his career.

And I just think Brees is cooked

It is a toss-up for me, NO and the 49ers. I think NO in the SB if they stay healthy.

Saints and Seattle. Wilson is playing on a MVP level and that Saints defense is the best Brees had since 2010.

Packers seem to have a decent D this year but haven't wowed me.

49ers look great but let's see how they'll handle being in a shoot out. Apart from Kittle their passing game is dire.

I'm starting to buy into the 49ers. That conference is wide open, and there's no guarantee even NO will be there at the end, considering their lackluster playoff performances. 49ers are the only ones sporting the 'good defense, good-enough offense' model.

The Saints, by all rights, should take the conference, if Brees isn't completely done when he gets back, but I won't be stunned if the 49ers make a run.
