Chase Winovich is for real

I've said this before, but if he ever becomes expendable in his current role I'd work him out as an inside linebacker. I think he's got the talent to learn that role well enough to be productive
I would like to see Chase used as a tight end. He had some experience there at Michigan. Part-time two-way player?

As long as he and the rest of the rushers keep applying pressure on opposing quarterbacks, our secondary will be able to keep creating turnovers.

there should be an investigation into this motor you speak of.. it sounds like fake news or at least some kind of Slavic interference

You dare question a God? He is Wino, God of Hammers...or hair...or message boards...or something. We'll be having no more of this heresy. Best watch your step blasphemer! Or you may be smitten by a bottle of conditioner and not the pansy 16 ounce kind either

Got my Steak And Cheese with Meyo might be good

As BB likes to say, “the more you can do, the more you can do.”

While not an unprecedented thought, let's let Chase get his spot in the NFL solidified with complete focus on learning techniques to beat even the highest level of tackles and guard play. Let's save his TE skills -- as much as they may be needed this year -- for next year :)

Leading all rookies in sacks isn’t bad for a third rounder. This is why I laugh at the workout warriors. Even at Michigan Chase was heads and tails better than Gary on film but the underwear Olympics said otherwise.

I could see it. Comes down to how well he could learn to drop back. But Winovich has great closing ability so it's certainly not out of the question. For now though he's making himself invaluable right where he is

Oh and for the record lest I come across as more knowledgeable than I am -- yeah, totally had to look up that linebacker stuff. I came to this forum knowing practically nothing about D and I've been trying to pick it up.
At least you can speak intelligently about it enough to have an educated opinion. You are already light years ahead of Volin.

His impact as a rookie is nice to see, unlike MLB, the NFL uses its rookies in starting roles most of the time...

Do not care if he breaks any records re: sacks, but opposing O's have to focus on him and his big motor, paving the way for our LB's....

He is being used as a situational player.

He is a good young solid player. He isn't as good as his stats indicate however he is a good player with a high floor who will bring it every snap.

He is being used as a situational player.
Don't understand this post. Yes, he is being used and he has been effective when out there. Most DLs are playing less than 50% of the snaps atm. So they are all situational, one coud argue.

If he gets 10-12 sacks he'd be a shoo-in for DROY.

I watched Bosa last night. That kid is a monster. He was already getting double-teamed. I would imagine he's got a better chance at DROY if he stays injury free.

Vs the Bills,

Guy 42 snaps
Simon 57 snaps

Winovick 8 snaps

His snaps have been decreasing since a high of 57% vs Pittsburgh. Without looking it seems like he enters the game late. Good start as a situational player so far.

VS Washington :

Simon 8
Winovich 17
Wise 18

It's been fluctuating for all of them. Guy & Shelton both in on less than 50%, as I stated.

Yes, Winovich is being used in certain situations as I stated.

0 starts, 3rd on the depth chart. Case closed.

watch out for Brian Burns. He has elite burst off the edge.

"Chase Winovich is for real"

Thank God he's not an apparition or figment of BB's imagination. But if he does his job right, opposing quarterbacks will be seeing ghosts out there.

I’ve been impressed with him so far
