NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Monday Night Football Week 5: Bakers vs Jimmies

I wonder when odell will start to chirp. Giants didn’t do him any favors.

Baker 8 of 22 100 yds 2 pics and zero tds for a whopping 13.45 passer rating....

I actually think this loss is good for Cleveland in the grand scheme of things. Probably will play better especially with the Pats looming. You know teams like to show up against the champs.

that Browns team won't be one of them

They should the call the skins and offer something for the left tackle.

With the Niner blow out, I'm going to end up 4-1 in my football pool. The ironic thing is that the only game I lost was the one I thought was the surest thing to cover. Dallas - GB with GB on the road without their best WR. Go figure.

But the best thing to me in this Niner win, is the fact that the team WITHOUT a single brand name WR (Samuel, Pettis, Goodwin) blew out the team who had JUST the kind of WR's that all the idiots around here are just slobbering over themselves to get.

Some lessons are NEVER learned. The Niner were FINE with their good but not great WR's. Certainly a lot better than the over priced over rated divas on the other side. We should be happy with who we have, which in my opinion is a better group than SF....or should be by the end of the season

Idk about that. The QB stinks. He barely has time. If they had a left tackle the offense might look different.

Time for Bill to buy low on Baker!

In all seriousness I haven’t picked the browns game right once in my weekly pick em pool...

I said I was done picking them to win after the Rams game... then I pick the ravens and they beat the ravens...

Then they suck me back in after that win so I picked them tonight... fking browns lol.

Baked Mayfly...wha? Johnny Foosball wasn't available?

Kind of fun reading a Cleveland Browns game thread.
Pretty much an even split between Baker sucks especially in the redzone and its not his fault its the Oline.
Plus quite a few are calling to fire HC Kitchens.
Good times.

Cleveland needs and NFL level coaching squad.

They also need a QB who's not too full of himself. They may have won a few games last year, but they might have lost the chance to instill some necessary humility and maturity into Mayfield in the process.

Why do they even have byes so early?
I remember one year (early '90s?) the Pats had their bye the first week of the season because their season opener in Miami was cancelled by a hurricane. Then it was 16 games straight.

Robby Gould 1 for 4 FGA tonight...

The question, how much of that is not having real coaches behind him. Of course, I don't think there are more than 3 or 4 decent coaches in the NFL to begin with so that's a tall order. But Kitchens is clearly in over his head and he hasn't got remotely the gravitas necessary to be able to get Baker's attention.

Fair enough, but Mayfield's been a chucklehead for longer than his short stint in the NFL.

There have been a fair share of chirpy skill players, especially receivers and CB's, who do amazing, even if they're an ass.

Has there been a single QB who was mouthy and did great? Actually genuinely interested in knowing - I can't think of one.

How are we defining "mouthy" and " did great"? I'm not asking to be difficult, but because it matters to the question (think Jim McMahon, for example).
