You think he's good just wait til Derek Rivers gets healthy

2018
  • Isaiah Wynn - TBD. Can play but injuries
  • Sony Michel - Starting RB that performed on the way to a SB
  • Ja'Whaun Bentley - Rotational ILB that's flashed at times
  • JC Jackson - Top 3 CB in the draft along with Ward & Alexander
Other: 2020 6th rounder via Keion Crossen

2019
  • Chase Winovich - NFL caliber rotational pass rusher with starter upside
  • Jake Bailey - All-Pro potential punter
  • N'Keal Harry - TBD
  • Jarrett Stidham - TBD
Other: Players stuck behind deep positional groups - Williams, Harris & Cowart

Draft production starting to turn around from 2016-2017. Feel pretty good about Williams & Cowart too.

His freaking motor is unreal.

Hope he can expand on his role beyond an ears-back pass rusher (not that there is anything wrong with that)
I've said this before, but if he ever becomes expendable in his current role I'd work him out as an inside linebacker. I think he's got the talent to learn that role well enough to be productive

It's been 5 games and we're already Bruschi-ing him? Actually...you know what...I can totally see it. But let's give him his first few years screaming off the edge first.

Can't help it. He feels like a Bruschi type. I want to use the talent he has in the biggest role he can fill and to me, that's ILB

you can't spell Win without Wi...um uh nevermind

We'll see. He has too much speed to be a Bentley-type. If anything hes more sideline to sideline type.

Chase for the Winovich!

So you're thinking he's less of a Mike and more of a Will?

His speed would make him an interesting choice as weak side LB. If he could learn to play coverage that could work rather well

YES

Texas has turned me so queer.

And there you were hoping for steer.
I feel for you man. By that I mean I feel sorry for what's happened to you, not that I feel your actual pain. Cripes, it's not like I'm the one in Texas

He was actually a better run defender than pass rusher in college.

I could see it. Comes down to how well he could learn to drop back. But Winovich has great closing ability so it's certainly not out of the question. For now though he's making himself invaluable right where he is

Oh and for the record lest I come across as more knowledgeable than I am -- yeah, totally had to look up that linebacker stuff. I came to this forum knowing practically nothing about D and I've been trying to pick it up.

there should be an investigation into this motor you speak of.. it sounds like fake news or at least some kind of Slavic interference

One of those rare picks where what you thought the player could be, became reality day 1.

Been completely as advertised, although I’d say the secondary has a large say in his sack and pressure numbers so far.

I said he would be the steal of the draft and so far, I am right!

there was one play where he got ****ing destroyed toward the end of the game.

he gonna need to be tougher than that at some point
He got blown up on that play. He tends to either get knocked on his ass or his aggression leads to him falling with his momentum with a lil swat. Think he’s good now, wait until he has a full offseason of strength training under his belt!!! Really excited.
