In the BB era, is Gruden’ termination the first head coach firing immediately after a Pats thumping ?

I remember Miami's special team's coach getting axed after we put a clownsuit on them in 2010. :D

After reading these posts I'm very excited. Once we acquire, A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Emanuel Sanders, Trent Williams, Julio Jones, and Mohammed Sanu we will be okay. Did I forget anyone.
Austin Hooper!

The larger point being it’s smart football to not reach out to a guy who is too wife to get there because when you do that you open a hole for a guy who is a legitimate threat to get there. Omg we didn’t block the guy who we too far outside to get to the kicker is not a problem.

Look at the punt block by the Pats the previous game - our two rushers were both out wide and unblocked and one of them (Jackson) got there. Jackson was also at the end of the line, admittedly a bit tighter in than the rusher here. (Our other rusher there was quite a bit further out).

The rusher here came fairly close to a block - miss was measured in inches, not feet:

Here's Jackson's successful block by comparison:

Clearly you can understand the difference between blocking a punt and NOT blocking a PAT.
The skins player was too wide to get there. “Almost wasn’t too wide” is irrelevant.
If the end blocker blocked him he would have let a rusher who was close enough to get there get through.
But I’m all ears on what you would do differently.

Didn't Jeff Fisher also get the ax in 2016 the day after the Pats beat the Rams in Gillette?

I'm sure there have been several others.

.
BB is an employment grim reaper of sorts.

Chris
