I am going to get excited when I see some Pancake Devlin type Blocks from him.

He looked lost in the first half but definitely turned it up in the second. I think he might have a higher ceiling as a lead blocker than Develin and he has some great foot speed, but one place he's clearly behind with Develin is when splitting out. He looks a bit lost out there. But that will come in time.

Yep, he seems to be better at the pure physical aspects of the game rather than being a fluent, interchangeable Erhardt-Perkins piece. It'll take time considering how new he is to football, but FB is the perfect position to ease a raw athlete into the sport while still getting contribution.

He’s still very raw and has a long way to go before he makes us forget about Develin, but he is improving.

lol... blocking two very unmotivated players.. they were basically just standing around.

Wake me up when he delivers a soul-crushing bone-breaking block like Develin does.

He did have a ridiculous one in the preseason (forget against who), and I remember liking the kid right then.

Then he should hone his skills on the Practice Squad where he belongs.

Wasn't that literally the plan until Dev got knicked? Indignation over the dude on the PS not being some world beater? He certainly has the tools to be an effective lead blocker. If he can show/develop an ability to block/catch in the passing game and he's going to have a long career.

This seems like a relative "best" case scenario as far as dev missing some time and JJg(erman) some game reps and game prep experience. He got better as the game went on. It is what it is. Let Dev get healthy and see what the kid can do for a few weeks against CHB's tomato cans.

Wynn needs to get his ass back out there. The oline needs to stay healthy. Edelman needs as little exposure as possible. Now would be a great time for Gordon to get right, or Meyers to mind meld.

Im surprised few folks have mentioned Sony's day. 16 attempts for 91+td and 3 receptions on 3 targets for 32 yards. Good to see him get some looks in the passing game. He looked well fit with the ball in space. I'd love to see hom get some looks on screens. Getting him in space with a few lead blockers seems like a good idea. Might help keep teams honest and give him some room to run as well.

Yeah, I think the second guy might have been eating a sandwich.

But you know in a way that’s not such a bad thing, almost like training camp for the guy as he gets ramped up.

I swear, some people just don't get excited about anything. We expected him to be occupying an exempt 11th spot on the PS all year. Now he's here and seemingly not out of place. I for one am just going to enjoy and not find every little reason to **** on a good story.

As expected, he got a few holes and suddenly he looks decent again. Fancy that. :)

He had a reception yesterday which is good (along with Izzo and LaCosse).

These three guys (and Bolden) getting passes and contributing on O is perhaps more indication of the true greatness of Brady. Almost any QB can chuck it to Moss in his prime - but can they make Bolden & Izzo look like players ?

If the defense forgets about them, sure. I love that Brady will throw to anyone if they're open, it's a stat we see every game (15 completions to 8 different receivers, etc). But it's the play design that got Bolden 1-on-1 with a linebacker and it was Washington just saying, "Nah, Izzo doesn't matter" that got him completely uncovered for his touchdown. Good on Brady for recognizing it, but just about any above average QB is going to make those throws.
