One would think the Native Americans would be DEMANDING that those pathetic namesakes who are disparaging the name by such an anemic show, drop it immediately. No wonder the Pats seemed like they were home. It is so much fun and very satisfying to watch our defense perform at such a level. Good to see Brady and Edelman hook up and make the other team squirm. No great injuries translate into light rest for four days and kick some Giant ass on Thursday night GO PATS!

LaCosse has a similar number I think...though I could be wrong.
If cut LaCosse is ~$875k in savings ( I think)

LaCosse's total hit is only 1.225m. He had a 700K salary with 200K guaranteed. He had a $150K signing bonus. He's gotten 5 game checks. 4 game day roster bonuses. Cutting him is likely to save less than 750K..

The interior line needs to improve going forward. That's the biggest weakness on this team and perhaps our biggest obstacle to ring #7. I think the sack in the second half was a coverage sack, but the ones in the first half looked like they were the result of blocking issues.

Only bad thing other than Dorsett going down is the wrong McCourty got an INT today. o_O

Yeah our defense was amazing yet again. Really put the shackles on Washington's offense.

Brady even got to relax for 6+ minutes because the game was well in hand.

Stidham getting some looks, giving him some experience, and maybe building his trade value in the future.

It wasn't surprising that we beat Washington in hindsight but this was a complete blowout.

I know Pitt, MIA, WASH, NYJ and BUF are dog **** offenses but to be allowing less than a td and ~220yds /game is absurd.
I agree. The depth of this defense is also absurd. Some might have differing opinions (and I am fully aware that base D is a thing of the past), but here are my « extra » players :
CB JC Jackson
S Harmon
LB Bentley
DL Bennett

Imagine. How many times between 2005-2013 would we have killed to have those types in the starting formation ?

#54 was just awesome today, pleasure to watch. Also, I know it has been said in other threads but Collins is really performing at some level on this D.
Long may it continue.

This is the Best Patriots Defense I can remember in 25 years. You are not beating this Team via the pass. If passing is your mo you are in trouble.

Which is exactly why I guffaw when folks here worry about going up against the Chiefs.

It’s patently obvious that the Pats are perfectly situated to beat that team.

.

Raise your hand if you had these guys giving up 6.8 points per game through 5?
