Trying to figure out what's up with these two. Watson missed some practice time this week, so hopefully that's the only reason he isn't active. Harris inactive yet again is the real head scratcher. If Harris is hurt haven't heard anything.

Harris has to be hurt. Otherwise this makes no sense?
Burkhead is hurt and this is the perfect spot to get Harris some carries. This kid is incredibly talented.

The Pats were able to save a roster spot so they waited on Watson.
Am surprised that Harris is not active today as well but with Bolden a viable 3rd RB option they obviously opted to be deeper at another position.

He isn't hurt. Not on the injury report and not limited in practice.

You'd rationally think Harris would have to be hurt, but the (lack of) evidence indicates that he's just a healthy scratch, which also makes sense given it's week 5 of his rookie season. I don't agree with the decision but we can't just conclude he's injured.

I think Harris gets unleashed as the schedule toughens in the 2nd half.

Sounds like a red shirt year a la vereen and j white. If they wanted to get him involved this would’ve been the ideal game with burkhead out and a weak opponent

But it's not really a redshirt year if he's on the roster.

I still consider it redshirted if hes not getting in games... id like to see him get in at some point but if not now when. Maybe michel getting hurt too

LaCosse may be getting healthy.

With a game on Thursday, it makes sense to wait on Watson. He'll have 9 full days to recover after that game, so he can get eased back into things.

Whether that's the thinking or not, I can only guess.

Just curious, how many rb's do we really need to have active each week. We have three, do we need 4? Is Harris better than Sony, Brandon, or James? Obviously the Patriots don't think so at this point or he would be playing in front of them.

Harris doesn’t play STs.

Harris doesn't play right now.

That's backwards.

If Harris were to have major role, he would be playing a lot early, so that he would be ready to contribute in the second half. Also, that would have the side benefit of saving Michel for the second half.

I think Harris gets unleashed as the schedule toughens in the 2nd half.

Makes sense, plus getting ready to play in 6 days after a month away from football idntba given any way.

Yes because an offense scoring 9 ppg over last 6+ quarters can afford to give guys redshirt years

Pats play Thursday night. Re Watson it’s a short week.
