Tom needs to sit a game (Satire)

I just added (Satire) to the thread title - it seems some weren't in on the other thread and apparently thought you were serious so hopefully that will clear things up ;)
People read like they drive. Half in the bag or half asleep.

No, I get it. If you hadn't read the Gunner thread, you'd initially look at this one like

I agree 100%. And while we're at it let's give Belichick and McDaniels a few weeks away from the team. A handful of Lombardis does not justify coddling these primadonnas after a statistically bad offensive showing.

While we are at it, the entire O line needs to sit for a game or two. That’ll straighten things out!

Maybe if Edelman wasn't so banged up I could see it.

But Stidham in one series of action led to as many TDs for the opponent as the defense has allowed all season.

Benching Brady for Stidham makes about as much sense as benching Gost for Shanky McShankson.

What a prank.
Before I read this just from the title I thought it was serious, based on the common overreacting in this forum and the previous set Gunner post. So I was about to add a third post for my suggestion that the entire O line should sit a game or too. Now I’m wondering how many would’ve taken even that as a serious suggestion?

(OP was kidding - it was a satire post based off the Gunner thread):

He's an aging veteran. A work in progress. I do get it. I'm not done with the guy forever. But Tom Brady had a terrible game Sunday and made a big error that lost us 7 points, and I'm sure Bill doesn't take that sort of thing lightly, even in a victory.

I don't think he needs to be benched forever but he made some mistakes today and I'd sit him a game and let him work on whatever he was struggling with, and give Jarrett Stidham or Cody Kessler a look as a quarterback until he's in a better spot. If Bill just thinks it's a fluke that Brady needs to work out in live games I'd be OK with that, but in that situation I'd give the geezer a mental break
I love this so much.

You would think this line would have been the giveaway of it being a satire post:

"He's an aging veteran. A work in progress."

Yes, Brady is indeed a work in progress. Still even now trying to get better

Why not bench him? ESPN says he is a hospital ball tossing possible unicorn! So, I guess it’s time for Stidham!

Not!

I love how we need a “Satire” warning when the OP suggested sitting Brady to “give Cody Kessler a look”

Yup. Next thing you know, and someone will post that the Pats have resigned Jordan Richards, and people will fall for that one, too.
