Yup they do.

The only guys that consistently get open vs a good defense are Edelman and White. The TE position is no viable threat and you cant game plan there anymore. Brady has no TE outlet because Gronk is selling CBD oil and the Patriots failed to address TE in the draft. Gordon has been a major disappointment. What is he? Not a deep threat. Not a guy who can get open when you watch the Pats scheme with a borderline pick play to finally get Gordon involved in the passing game. Dorsett is a #3 WR. Can you count on him when Brady is under attack? Maybe yes and maybe no.

Sony is not catching many passes that I see. Meyers? Burkhead? Bolden? The cupboards have 1 box of Mac n Cheese left.

The Pats receiving options are nothing special at all with the exception of Edelman. It explains why Brady was so excited to bring a cancer like AB aboard because he can at least get open and catch.

They have a receiver "situation". To say that just because a very solid defensive team was able to limit a WR corps that includes injuries to JE & Harry is a "problem" when that team is 4-0 is a bit much.

NE needs to either (1) get that running game going (2) involve the RBs more in the passing game or (3) get healthy at WR. I am confident that if JE is 100% (or close) he will be much more effective than he was yesterday. Last year's team won the SB on D & running. This season, their defense is even more formidable. They will win based on that. They need to muster some points, but it isn't as imperative as it once was - when the D was more suspect.

Our D has face **** QBs and Os all year. Tough to judge them yet.

Trade for Julio at ATL fire sale and their rebuild ATL sux

I was concerned about our WR situation before the season started. Some argued on here that we were deep at the position.

We have an OL problem.

I saw Dorsett separating a few times they showed him run his route. That double move which he got a PI for he beat his guy. Could have been a TD if Brady lead him.

On the INT Gordon fought off his man and was actually open for a fade.

Several other instances where Brady could have hit guys but was rushed to make throws or was hearing footsteps. He was rushing everything. Timing was all off.

Well apparently some people here think gordon is ok. The guy has to be more consistent. Dorsett as a number 3 is not good. He’s more of a 4th wideout.

The biggest problem is (and will remain until solved) the OLine, as long as they can't run block or pass protect (like yesterday) more consistently, even the best WR wouldn't help.

We had an injured Edelman and James White that worked in the passing game. Meyers was deer in the headlights ineffective, Gordon was doing a Chad Johnson impersonation and was underwhelming , and we tried to feed the Phil Dorsett beast—but it didn’t work.

TEs? Biggest omission in the draft. Thomas Sweeney of BC would have been an upgrade.
A 7th rounder but we stupidly drafted a CB instead, our position of strength, with a lot of potential now playing for the Dolphins. Because the likelihood of his cracking the 53 roster was slim to none.

Put in Slater at WR! Could we do worse? At least he would give us more than Meyers who looked intimidated.

Total receptions:
Dorsett and Gordon, 5
Patriots D, 4.

Total receiving yardage:

Rookie TE Dawson Knox of the Bills>Gordon + Dorsett.

That 31 yard pass to Gordon..man was he gimping heavily. His knee was wrapped most of that game so he's not 100%...Jules not 100%. Getting banged up.

Could they use a couple more pass-catchers? Sure.

The problem ladies and gentlemen is the o-line, o-line, o-line, o-line, and the o-line.

Total receiving yardage:

Rookie TE Dawson Knox of the Bills>Deandre Hopkins + Adam Thielen.

Do they both suck now?

Sure could have used that Antonio Brown guy...

Um, does anyone remember that Watson can play starting next game and is a solid pass-catching TE? Maybe we should see what he brings before declaring the season over?

Brady was just pretty open about the fact he doesn’t trust young receivers. Doesn’t make me optimistic Harry will come off IR.

Julio just signed a huge contract extension. Do we even had the cap room for this season to take that on? Not to mention having an aging Julio the next several seasons.

I’m looking at the 0-4 Denver Broncos. I’m looking at you Emmanuel Sanders. Question is, does he fit under the cap for 1/2 a season?

Check out the box score for December last year against the Bills. The Pats were 3 games away from playing in the Super Bowl and at home. Brady was statistically worse then (fewer yards and more INTs). And Gronk played. The difference was the seasoned offensive line opened holes for the running game.

Bills have a better defense than Pats will likely encounter elsewhere. Bad matchups. The Pats won and Brady did not get decapitated behind new pieces on the line.

I'll take the ugly win on the road.
