But I think it’s unfortunate to call rules in the interest of safety (which are desperately needed IMO) “****ification” of the game.
I don't question the INTENT of the rules. Perhaps its because I come from and era where I played 4 yrs of HS, 4 yrs of college and 2 yrs beyond and LITERALLY led with my head (front/facemask) on every single play on defense AND offense. Put your face in your opponent's chest and then slide to your shoulder. It's how you were supposed to tackle and how you were supposed to block. People I play poker tell me that what I have just said explains a lot about my decisions. ;)

In this case I don't know what Jones could have done to keep him from a first down. He was a 180 DB trying to stop a 240lb RUNNER who was lowering HIS head to get that first down. Should have have simply stepped aside?

what blueprint? It's been known since 2002...get up the middle pressure on Brady and he folds.
Folds is a strong word. You make it sound like he's Tony Eason.

Hint: pressure up the middle puts every QB at a disadvantage

Not sure how you can say Meyers was useless when he was rarely on the field.
Not on the field due to being useless
Not sure how you can say Brady had only 2.5 receivers when Julian was playing as well. Julian, Gordon and Dorsett all dropped catchable balls.
Edelman dropped balls he had to reach out for ... due to injury ... so he was 1/2
What I saw was an offense that didn't give enough respect to the Bills Edmunds. He singlehandedly blew up several plays. I understand why the Bills made him a 1st round pick. I don't remember a play where wasn't in position. And that speaks a lot about the Patriots preparation more than anything. It's unlike them to make that sort of mistake with their Game Prep..
I agree ...

Offense needs lots of work. But I’d rather be 4-0 and need work than the 2-2 we were last year. Season is long and still 3/4 of it remain. A win is a win. BB usually says the season doesn’t really start until Thanksgiving

The guy was there a split second after the ball dropped. He definitely would have been there. He was up top. Look at the replay

I saw the replay multiple times. If Brady throws that ball out front, it's an easy TD for Dorsett.

He is our kryptonite.
Pats didn't play their best but I think between McD and Daboll knowing a few things about the O that allowed them to put together a nice game plan

This thread has me wondering. Who is the best team in the league right now when you all the "if thises and if thats are figured in?

BTW- I have lost a TON of respect for McDermott. His constant whining during the game was pissing me off. And his post game stuff is even more ridiculous

This was the good news today. Their not bullet proof either.
Chiefs are the 2013 Broncos. We are on of these juggernaut defensive teams. I feel good about beating them.

He went 13/28 3INT
;) I know, its just it seemed like he was moving the ball better. More accurate with his long balls and taking advantage of what was there in the middle. You don't have to do much to improve on Allen at this stage of his career.

Our defence played lights out, and were fantastic. Offensively we were woeful, and Gostkowski kicking is a real issue, if he kicks that it’s 17-10 which makes it a lot harder for the bills.
And if Brady doesn’t throw that horrid INT it’s either 19-10, 22-10, or 23-10 which makes ever more hard for the Bills.

if it's 20-0 like it SHOULD have been the game is over.

And those scores would have gotten me a win in my pool. I also lost on Houston. I can't tell you how many times I have lost betting them. You'd think by know I'd know better. ;)

1. Blueprint is now out to rattle this O.

There's no blueprint. McDermott just has a defense that absolutely doesn't tip its hands so Brady can't figure out what's coming before the snap.

That's made possible because of the very simple approach his defense takes. It doesn't have a lot of moving parts, so there's not much to disguise.

It's always been a thorn in Brady's side.

Brady's last three games at Buffalo:

12/3/17: 21-30, 258 yds, 0 td, 1 int, 82.4 rating (Pats win 23-3)
10/29/18: 29-45, 324 yds, 0 td, 0 int, 85.8 rating (Pats win 25-6)
9/29/19: 18-39, 150 yds, 0 td, 1 int, 45.9 rating (Pats win 16-10)

So it's definitely been a struggle offensively on the road against the Bills the last few years. So yeah, a road win is a good win in the NFL.

I believe if Eason did what TB12 did today, we'd be screaming for the backup to come in.
Brady has no ability to elude a rusher and he just throws it away. I am not blaming him...I am just saying - you get pressure up the middle on him, he is ineffective. I am not saying I want D.Watson or L. Jackson instead. Our GOAT is good with protection and up the middle pressure is his kryptonite.

Someone mentioned gordon but the guy has to step up! He has to play like a 1 or two. Idk if he gets discourage when he runs his routes and doesn’t get open.
