This could be current or all time. And these could be guys you didn't feel too terrible about losing too.

My list:

1. Philip Rivers. When he first came into the league he rubbed me the wrong way. But I changed my tune on him after he played on a torn ACL in that AFC championship game in the 07 playoffs. He's always complimentary of Brady. I guess it doesn't hurt that he's never beaten Brady either. But I digress.

2. Ed Reed. Unlike most of his coaches and teammates, I always thought Reed was the one guy I could respect in that organization. He's one of the best I ever saw at actually running with the ball after an interception. Some guys will run a few yards. But he would make it close to the end zone consistently.

3. Von Miller. He is a heck of a player. And he came out and said Tom Brady is one of the toughest QB's he ever faced. Both him and Ware said they were amazed at how Brady kept getting up after the beating he took in that 2015 AFC title game.

4. Kurt Warner. His story is remarkable in itself. But he's the one guy that hasn't remained salty about Super Bowl 36. He's acknowledged Brady's greatness. And his analysis is top notch.

5. Patrick Mahomes. Unlike Aaron Rodgers, it's hard not to like this kid. He never seems satisfied. Not arrogant. Does alot of charity work. And is the most exciting player in the league to watch. If it weren't for the dirt bag receiver on their team, I wouldn't be too devastated losing to his team.

Obviously we are all Pats fans first. But those are some guys that stuck out to me. Which opposing players and/or coaches have you had the most respect for through the years?

Seriously though. Good list but I disagree with Kurt Warner. He's still butthurt.

Roger Staubach
Tony Hill
Barry Sanders - Just unbelievable.
Randall Cunningham - Loved watching him play.
Earl Campbell - One of the relatively most powerful running backs I've ever seen.
Joe Montana - Although he's a bit of a douche.
Tony Gonzalez
Steve Smith Sr - Love that guy.

There's a few.

I respect Peyton Manning (the player). He was a really difficult opponent after he got over the initial stretch of failure against the Pats. Beating him in the regular season often felt like a playoff game.

I don’t respect him as a person necessarily.

Kam Chancellor
Nnamdi Asomugha
Geno Atkins
Kawann Short
Rashean Mathis

The Giants, they made the plays to win the way the pats make plays to win....nothing like pulling some **** out of your arse at precisely the right moment.......everyone else was a bunch of jealous dweebs

Nah, I hate them all.

Tom Coughlin. He had those Giants teams ready to play in those Super Bowls. Especially the near undefeated season where most teams would have folded, their d-line was possessed.

How come no one mentioned Fitzgerald?

Played the most historically Diva position, played (and plays) for some REAL bad teams, always produces no matter how bad the QB is.

And still has time to be one of the most active NFL players socially

Only problem is that he never came here, but maybe this is the year, right?

Bingo.

He was the one that consistently can get into BB's pockets and see what he is selling. I felt like whenever we play against him, the coaching advantages goes away. Not surprised that guy got our numbers, since him and BB are really study buddies under the same org/coach when they were all learning their own ropes. It was great for us that he choose to retire to the Jags instead of Fins in the state of FL, else we would have a very competitive divisional opponent to play against every year.
