It's not Meredith is it? He can't practice yet, I don't think.

Jason Vander Laan to PS
Vander Laan, 27, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the New York Jets out of Ferris State on May 6, 2016. The 6-foot-3, 244-pounder spent part of his rookie season in 2016 on the Jets practice squad and was released prior to the start of the 2017 regular season. Vander Laan joined the Indianapolis Colts practice squad on Nov. 3, 2017, and signed with the Indianapolis 53-man roster on Nov. 25. He appeared in four games as a reserve and did not accrue any statistics. He joined the Carolina Panthers in the 2018 offseason and had stints on the Panthers practice squad and 53-man roster but did not appear in any games. He was released by the Panthers on Aug. 30, 2019.
Patriots sign QB Cody Kessler to the 53-man roster; Sign TE Jason Vander Laan to the practice squad

Hey, if your franchise highlight is losing the Super Bowl four years in a row, 25 years ago, then they have the right to be delusionally optimistic.

That's 4x better than the Jets have ever done in the last 50 years, never mind 25.

What's Rob Johnson doing these days? LOL

How many teams have been to the Super Bowl four years in a row?

This week's game will be broadcast by CBS on Sunday, September 29 at 1:00 PM ET and can be seen locally on WBZ-TV Channel 4. Ian Eagle will handle play-by-play duties with Dan Fouts as the color analyst. Evan Washburn will work from the sidelines. The game will be produced by Mark Wolff and directed by Bob Fishman.
Oh no not that fool again!

Watching Bills/Bengals last night. Bengals had some success running counter. I could see Rex getting some touches early on bc he has that quick, nifty lil jump cut that really complements the play.

Bills ran a ton nub sets. Ran a lot through & featured him last game. Definitely expect more of that.

Johnson & Milano (loved him coming out) are probably two most important defenders imo. Johnson is a very underrated CB that can hang w 11 if he plays & Milano is a dog. Such a pleasure to watch. Great story big fan. Dude is the epitome of a professional. Such a hard worker. So disciplined irl & in football. One of the good guys w amazing instincts. Makes all the difference in the world when hes in there.

Beasley was a huge get for Buffalo. Allen absolutely needs a safety blanket where he can look to quick on hot reads or just get the ball out quicker as opposed to chucking it a mile. 24 will most likely be across from Brown most of the day. I really think they try work more Beasley & Knox into this game.

Foster is really their only playmaker in terms of beating you deep. I'm sure he'll light up like a neon signs to our DBs.

Last year it was all abt manipulating the attack to confuse Allen & containing him in the pocket. At times we'd purposely over run our edge defenders only to have DBs or LBs coming in on a delayed wave. Basically the same idea in coverage. Have it look one way before switching it up.

We played almost 90% man last game compared to around 60% v Pitt & 45% NYJ. I think we see a lil more zone looks disguised as man. Idk the way our D is locked in I think Bill trust them to play man all game but w Allen's legs & the willingness to work the short/intermediate game. I'd say we go closer to 50%.

Tom Brady Loves To Silence The Buffalo Crowd

“When you go on the road in the NFL, you have to get used to that. You go in there with 46 active, five or six other guys, your coaches and a few fans in the crowd. I think it’s always gratifying when you go in there and by the end of the game you look up, and there are only Patriots fans left,” he said with a big grin. “I always think that is pretty cool. To go on the road in the NFL is tough, and certainly early in the game, after their pregame tailgate, they’re a little fired up. They’re into it and they’re pretty loud. We have to go out and execute early and start fast, which we’ve actually done a good job at this year. That is really important this week.”

(emphasis added)

My daughter & I have decided to go to the game in Buffalo. Anyone else going? I’m hoping there are lots of Pats fans there and that no one bothers us for wearing our Pats shirts. I went to a game in Buffalo in the Randy Moss era. It was fun & lots of Pats fans there then, no trouble for us (but plenty of crazy stuff in the parking lots).

I’m making the trip from Rochester to attend.

A few points:

1. I'm getting the feeling that the Bill's offense won't be as good as their 3-0 record indicates, but the Bill's D will be far and away the best we've faced so far. They have some very good players at all 3 levels.

2. The key on defense will be to stop the run and contain Allen and make him beat them from the pocket. It is no coincidence that the TE we signed to the PS set records as a running QB.

3. As to stopping the run, Singletary hasn't practiced yet, but their run game with Gore has been good. Their OL might be better than ours at this point, but that's not saying much for either group...thus far. Singlerary looks like the real deal and will probably play. This will be a good test of our run D. Harder than the Jets because of Allen is part of the run game.

4. Because of Allen's running ability, I think we will be primarily in zone D's this week, especially on downs that aren't likely passing situations. That will help also with Beasley because it will help negate rub routes.

5. I REALLY hope the Pats win the toss and defer. That first series would be hard to execute in the kind of noise right at the start of the game.

Pats need to go there and get an early lead. Simple. I’m sure Buffalo will be jacked up especially with being 3-0. I paid 200 dollars for a ticket to this game which was about 50 dollars cheaper last week. Fans will be excited and getting off to a slow start will be a disaster.

They’re 3-0 so it does make some sense considering it’s september and it would be the first time the pats lost to somebody they should have crushed....won’t happen if the pats focus on 4-0 and not 19-0
