Edelman’s x-rays negative

What are you doing on this board? After reading numerous posts it really seems you'd be a better fit on the Chiefs board... since we apparently have no shot against them in any scenario based on what I've read from you in different threads. How long you been (allegedly) a Pats fan?

What? You can mentally envision the Patriots winning an AFCCG in Kansas City? Only in our dreams.

Per Reiss yesterday he is going to play through it and probably will be at practice today.

With Gunner standing at his side, Belichick asked JE11: “Are you hurt or injured?”

Yeah I am not going to get carried away with the early injury reports on Patriot players. Remember Wynn was suppose miss a week or two then it became eight weeks. Think I'm gonna wait until Wednesday.

For clarification in Wynn's case, Ian stated the player was "week to week I'm told" which means the reporter heard the news from someone who was relaying information he had heard. It should have been taken as coming from an indirect source.

In Edelman's case the report states the information is a source and should be considered more direct and accurate.

In today's world of quick reporting and being first, it is up to the reader to distinguish the difference when listening to reporter. Reiss, for example, tries to be more clear in this separation. He generally will keep hearsay in his columns and not tweet this type of third hand information.

yup. The I'm being told stuff is usually very vague information and should be checked twice. In case of Edelman he downright said he will be fine.

Agreed. And I don't see a way the Patriots win another playoff game in KC. Not this year. We must ensure a possible playoff game is at home.

Troll

In the "old days" the rule was to confirm any report, but today pretty much everything tweeted is one source.

It's up to the reporter to clarify his report, which I think Ian did in this case, and us to understand the differences, which many on the forum did not.

There was something earlier in the year from I believe Howe that was hearsay, and he didn't note it in his tweet. That is an unforgivable unprofessional offense.

I assumed he was told by a source. This sort of stuff is not on the reader. This type of thing is why journalists and twitter suck.

He writes for the Athletic, so I'm not surprised.

Important news of the week. This is the first real D this decimated Pats O will face this season and on the road. With struggling running game + Develin out - Jules taking one for the team matters..

It's nice to get some good news on the injury front for a change. Another week for Marshall Newhouse at LT with the unit also helps.
