Bill always takes every opponent seriously.

The Bills look better than they have in a very long time. They're worth taking seriously until they prove otherwise.

Well said: look at the Bills Next Seven after New England if they don't win at-least Ten Games this year their Coaching Brass needs to be fired they are playing some powder puffs.

Stopping their running attack will be a key in the game. I believe they almost have 500 yards running in just 3 games. Stop the run and make them one dimensional.

I don't blame Bills fans one bit for feeling confident and excited about this game. Regardless of history, if you're not going to get excited about being 3-0 and hosting your most hated division rival, then I question why you're even watching football.
Confident Bills fans are hilarious. Unfortunately it only happens every few years.

So is Damien Harris going to get a shot at RB or nah? Can’t be any worse than what Sony has given in short yardage.

Brady really likes Rex Burkhead he's such dual threat both running and catching if he can stay healthy. The Defense cannot cheat when Rex is in there.

Bills week news thread

I saw an article about a Bills player, so I thought I'd create a thread to put all of those sorts of things.

And here it is.

Early thoughts on the Bills

QB - Allen is the kind of QB that can give the Pats an issue because he's so boom or bust. That's how a non-elite QB/offense has to play us to score right now. Throw it deep. Toss it into double coverage. Aim for big PI plays. The Jets, Dolphins and Steelers were too scared to even try. Allen won't be. More likely than not it blows up in his face, but it will give them a chance to manufacture some points.

WR/TE - They have some decent weapons. Not great but decent. Beasley is the type of guy our D hasn't had to face much of yet, John Brown has truly elite speed and will be hard to play 1v1. Knox had a break out game today, we will see if he can repeat. Overall they offer some interesting challenges our D hasn't had to face yet match up wise. The talent isn't at a high level but the mix of options they have is pretty extensive.

RB - They don't have that RB who can catch which is good news. Not that it has worked against the Pats this year. They do have a good stable of backs and a solid run blocking OL. They haven't really had a bad running game at any point this year. That being said this is the kind of straight ahead no nonsense run game that the Pats routinely shut down.

OL - (edited with more detail) Good in run blocking. So-so/poor pass blocking. Dawkins at LT is okay, large and has been with the team for 3 years. Spain is a FA LG. A big guard and one of the better run blockers in the NFL not long ago. Mitch Morse at C is another FA. One of the better all around centers (particularly pass blocking). Jon Feliciano is another FA. The big guard is nursing a neck injury he suffered against the Bengals. Something to monitor. If he can't go Spencer Long (FA) will come in as his back up. He isn't usually good but has put it together for short periods of time. At RT the rookie Cody Ford and FA Ty Nsekhe. Nsekhe is also the back up swing tackle. Right now it seems like a time split situation is going on with both playing about half the game. Ford is struggling in his rookie year with Ty not looking much better.

Clearly this unit has a lot of moving pieces. Nearly everyone on this unit is new to the team and has to learn to play together. Add in an injury and it becomes even more dicey

Defense - I don't feel the need to break this down. It's good. Maybe I'll get into it tomorrow.

This is a great summary. I'd only add a few things that might (or might not) be helpful. Bills D is pretty good but it's probably a little overrated. They are susceptible to a good run game. Bengals, who also have O-line issues, were able to establish a good ground attack in the second half of yesterday's game. With Harrison Philips now out for the year the scheme that uses their linebackers in coverage and relies on lateral quickness in defending the run may be compromised if you attack inside the tackles. They get high marks statistically for their pass D but it is pure zone. Scheme to get single coverage on the outside and a receiver with good wheels will beat them like a drum big time all day long.
On offence Allen is capable of producing a big play at any time, because his basic physical attributes are off the charts, but he's obviously still very raw and accident prone. Their pass pro is very suspect especially with Feliciano likely out. You are right that their run blocking isn't bad at all and I actually think you have to be aware of their RBs receiving out of the backfield.
John Brown is a savvy route runner with good hands but I think he has probably lost a step (still fast but not quite the burner he was in Zona). Beasley is a good slot receiver. But that won't be enuf, not nearly, to challenge our secondary. I would keep an eye on Dawson Knox. He's a big horse.
Bills are a decent team, maybe 2 years away from being truly competitive.

Where are you getting that from? They are 18th in points per game

It said 11th when I looked it up, but stats may not have been updated to include all games that were played yesterday when I did.

My daughter & I have decided to go to the game in Buffalo. Anyone else going? I’m hoping there are lots of Pats fans there and that no one bothers us for wearing our Pats shirts. I went to a game in Buffalo in the Randy Moss era. It was fun & lots of Pats fans there then, no trouble for us (but plenty of crazy stuff in the parking lots).

Be careful.

Bills fans are a unique breed of crazy but we've attended several games up there and had a great experience every time. I've never known them to be dangerous, except to themselves.

A fascinating road game for me...their stadium remember me Foxboro stadium

I would have traveled there for sure if i was living in yr continent ;)
