But I don’t really care when or if someone else is offended. And if I’m offended, I view it as part of life.To provide some context, she said, "I'd be remiss if I didn't ask, what was the final straw with Antonio Brown?" He deflected it and said "We're just focused on the Jets." She was smart and didn't press him, immediately saying, "Thank you coach" to end the interview and that was when that pretty intense stare down by him took place. Even I was a little uncomfortable because it was literally 3 seconds of him just staring at her, which felt like an eternity.
I agree, it looked like he was thinking about something else when she ended it quickly.New England Patriots' Bill Belichick slammed for giving reporter 'death stare' after Antonio Brown question
Gee, no wonder BB doesn't want to answer your dumb questions. He was clearly in pre-game mode and focused on the Jets. He stood by for a bit to make sure she didn't have a question about the game. Naturally, it's being picked apart by the twitter idiots.
I think he teaches a valuable lesson in today’s society where so many care about what other think. It was crazy, she said, "Thank you coach." and leaned the mic from herself back to him, and he just locked eyes and said nothing...it was pretty nuts. Then she said, "Thank you" again and still nothing, and then they cut away.
I have to give him credit, he gives zero you-know-whats about what people think and has no fear when it comes to that.
Lovely straw man, ad hominem, appeal to emotion, and argument from outrage. That all you got?You however are obviously far more enlightened and inclusive.
Oh well, at least your side had a substantial run with The Inquisition and the Crusades so at least you have that going for you
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.if there was an agreement and they broke it, the stare is understandable, but i mean if you watch bb press conferences you'll see stare downs, eye rolls, etc
this isn't anything new for BB, if you ask him a question and he considers it stupid, you're getting a look of some kind lol
Agreed. FWIW, I’ve noticed he gets more aggravated with women reporters over the years. To provide some context, she said, "I'd be remiss if I didn't ask, what was the final straw with Antonio Brown?" He deflected it and said "We're just focused on the Jets." She was smart and didn't press him, immediately saying, "Thank you coach" to end the interview and that was when that pretty intense stare down by him took place. Even I was a little uncomfortable because it was literally 3 seconds of him just staring at her, which felt like an eternity.
"Equality" is when you receive the same treatment as everyone else.
Ask a dumb question, get ready for the reaction.
Wasn't a dumb question. It was a big story.
If it was a guy reporter, I'd expect some retaliation of some sort. Curse Bill out a bit, maybe make fun of him... you know some sort of payback. A hard shoulder in the hallway perhaps?
So even though it really is awkward watching Bill do that to a woman, I suppose she just has to find a way to get back at him. Without making it a man/woman thing.
With that said, if that was my mother/sister/wife... yeah Bill would be on my ****list.
LOL the media. BB stormed out!! BB gave someone the death stare!!!
Dear Media - BB is doing the same things he has done for the past 20 years. You did not need to go to any press conference. All the fans could have written the script for you:
Before AB's release:
Reporters: What do you have to say about the latest AB text messages? His antics? What if the NFL suspends him? Do you think the NFL shoulda, coulda, woulda suspend him?
BB: (answer to all questions). I'm here to talk about the Jets game.
After AB's release:
Reporters: Why did the Patriots cut AB? Is it true Bob Kraft overruled you? What do you think of AB's latest tweets? His antics? What if the NFL suspends him? Do you think the NFL shoulda, coulda, woulda suspend him?
BB: (answer to all questions). I'm here to talk about the players on our roster.
The joke of all of it is the media expecting BB to change his ways and do something different. We're onto the Bills media. Suck it.
Look, many would agree that BB can be a ****. But he is our ****. Sometimes his ****ness is indefensible. I just wish that the best coach of all time would be a little bit more respectful and accommodating. How bout taking a lead from the GOAT. or Slate, or McCourty, etc.
I don't think BB was being an ass. The way she said "thank you" was very spontaneous and he wasn't expecting that. It took a second for him to process that.
I don't really think there's anything more to it than that. People have way too much free time in their lives to complain about s*** like this.
