Well AB can go F off after insulting our owner. The guy’s a social media whore!

Although i will say people deserve their due process but this idiot would be here now had he not contacted his accuser.
We've insulted our owner

Claiming they didn't know about the lawsuit could be argued as not doing their homework

I’ve seen a few people say this, but I’m not sure I really get it. Civil lawsuits aren’t public knowledge before they’re filed. And I think the idea that the patriots have some massive team of private investigators is sort of silly. They do not and cannot know everything that happens in the world.

That’s why I think the flak the patriots get from some quarters is off base. Look at this take from one of our favorite writers after the initial deal:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/sports/nfl/dont-blame-antonio-brown-for-putting-himself-first-no-one-else-was-going-to/2019/09/09/76a6601c-d34d-11e9-86ac-0f250cc91758_story.html?outputType=amp

So then the Patriots signed him, and right away the civil lawsuit is filed. The Dan Shaughnessys of the world (I don’t know why that man is so bitter, so filled with hatred toward Patriots and their fans. Is it because he doesn’t get the access he used to get? I honestly don’t know, I don’t have the energy to think about it much more than that), but they now blast the team for not cutting him sooner. I don’t know how many civil lawsuits there are filed, but I’m sure it’s a lot, and it would be a terrible precedent to cut someone based off of that.

So the patriots had to go into a bit of a wait and see mode, hoping for the best, taking it day by day. Seems to me that was the only thing they could do.

After the latest round of texts came out, threatening or no, it was getting to be a large problem, so I think they made the right decision and released him. Point is though, I don’t really see where the Patriots misstepped throughout this entire process.

Her group texted HER and included his lawyer on it. He wrote "Eric B. let's look into her background history see how broke this girl is from (redacted)......"

Eric B. texted back: "Yes sir we will do that"

and then: "You send me her info bro"

AB then sends a pic of her kids.

Now there is nothing wrong with that if the text was just between AB and Eric B and the lawyer. The threat part is that he unsolicited brought the woman into the group text. It's obvious to most everyone but you and a select few others.

I answered your question. Answer this, Andy: WHY did he contact the woman? What was the reason to INCLUDE HER in his strategy session? He certainly wasn't negotiating.

I'll enjoy seeing your answer to that.

I’m glad he’s gone and think his texts were beyond the pale, especially including her in the text. That said, is he actually being sarcastic when asking how broke she is, and using the picture of her kids to suggest she has money (and accusing her of s sob story to get the painting job.) I read it they way and it actually makes sense.

As are other civil lawsuits against him for nonpayment.

It didn't mean he knew a lawsuit was imminent.

Not as clean a reason as the texts, which happened on their watch.

The lawsuit is not the problem .... it’s the actions that led to the lawsuit

Err, prostitution is not a legal business transaction in the state of Florida. Just saying.
Doesn’t matter. Prostitution isn’t sexual assault or considered a violent crime..AB has a women alleging rape in a civil suit

One out of two ain't bad. Sucks to be Rosenhaus but the attorney is probably loving this, any day drinking he's doing is a celebration provided the retainer was both substantial AND paid upfront

I'm not so sure it sucks to be by far the most famous sports agent in the country if not world.

The point is that what Kraft allegedly did didn’t involve nonconsensuality, unlike what Brown allegedly did.

Yeah, and how is that working out? The reality is getting him psychiatric help was probably the only way to keep him employed, and paid. That ship has probably sailed now. It absolutely should be part of an agent job to recognize mental illness (or substance abuse issues) and get his/her client help.

You can save someone from most anything but themselves. It's not as though Rosenhaus could Baker Act his ass

I would also say that if AB is not playing football, things are going to go really badly for him. I see a very sad end to this story in the next few years. :(

I agree. This guy has ZERO going for him outside of football. If he thinks people find him fascinating because of anything other than his WR ability, then he is in for it.

.

Except the lawsuit could be a gray area.

AB might claim he didn't know the lawsuit was coming. It is possible the lawsuit was moved along faster because of the timing of everything.

Or AB's team might have claimed they told the Patriots there were potential civil cases forthcoming like the ones for non payment and the Patriots were most focused on criminal.

It could become he said/she said similar to the civil lawsuit.

This way it's clean that he was cut for something which occurred since Sunday.

Except his agent publicly stated that they knew that the lawsuit may be coming and likely already had that Sunday evening deadline to settle before the patriots signed him.

Lest 425 pages of thoughtful perspicacity be buried beneath a few tweets?

Tip o’ the hat to you, Mack.

Some posts are just frameable.

That does appear to be Brittany Taylor.
Interesting
I don't think he raped anyone I really don't this AB situation is a shame and it's not that he's not completely to blame I feel he didn't rape but he is still a crazy mofo.

We've insulted our owner
Yeah tbh I’m surprised half this thread isn’t agreeing with AB and saying **** like “Bob deserves this for his spineless capitulation of deflategate”

Can we not post every Antonio Brown tweet?

Can we not do that? Unless it's actual news?
Why not? If you don’t want to read about AB, don’t click on this thread.....

Rosenhaus’ entire purpose in this thing is to make money. That’s it. He couldn’t care less about anything his client does or say, all he cares about is spinning it into a positive so he can get signed and he can get commission.

Which is why anything that comes out of his mouth shouldn’t matter.
