Jakob Johnson promoted from PS. Hoping Develin is not out for long as he is an absolute beast in our run game, plus he can catch s few.

It's probably slightly different then the NFL LOL....but we'll see...

Jakob Johnson

2018 (12 – Stuttgart Scorpions)
Appeared in 12 games for the Stuttgart Scorpions of the German Football League as a tight end and totaled 43 receptions for 474 yards and four touchdowns.

Excuse me, bit are you talking about Luke Faulk? The guy who was signed to the team after Darnell's mono diagnosis, and then after JUST a week of practice gets thrown into a live game AND completes 80% of his passes for 200 yds against a pretty good Browns D. Yes that's right EIGHTY percent of his passes.

Doesn't that concern any of you? I would think that what Faulk did was beyond impressive. Now he has a full week to prepare as the top QB and a game plan designed around HIS skill set instead of Simean's.

The Jets' talent level is much better than the Dolphins, and we are lucky that they will be missing Williams, and Mosely who are two key parts of the Jets defense. But the fact is that its very possible that we will enter the game with 2 OT's who weren't even on the team when the season started.

Sure we will very likely win the game by a comfortable margin. But at what cost. Will Brady just become one in a long line of NFL QB's to get knocked out of a game? The Jets aren't a great team, but they are better (at least talent wise) than what is being presented here.

If you don't respect your opponents the results can be costly. EVERY player on the Jets roster was better than 98% of the thousands of college players the year they came out. They are good football players. Their DL is particularly good while our OL might be missing 3 of the 5 players we expected to be there at the start of the season. NOT IDEAL!

The Dolphins are a good example of a team you can "laugh at". But they held the Pats offense WITH AB, to 13 points well into the 3rd quarter before it all came apart. The Jets defense is MUCH better.

The point of this is, I guess, trying to make you all take this team more seriously. While it always fun to mock the Jets and even more fun to mock their fans, the Pats will be facing 45 guys who are being paid a LOT of money to play football, and they are all pretty good at it or they wouldn't be on the roster.

Just thought you ought to know.

Nah, doesn't really concern me. Could be famous last words, we'll see. I still believe in the Pats defense to hold down most any NFL team, particularly this Jets team.

Mad respect for the thought you put into every one of your posts Ken but if we as fans can't have some fun at the Jete and their sad sack fans expense then what's the point of having a thread about facing them? We are talking about not just 51 years of fun filled Jete futility but a team that when it did have all the bullets in their gun still hasn't scored a TD in Gillette since 2015 and has been dope slapped by a combined 105-12 in that time frame. Yes Belichick has done his best with his players to make every one of those Jete D's seem like the second coming of the '85 Bears and their QB's all appear to be Joe Montana but being the un-professionals we are it has to be allowable for us to bring some levity to the table. It is, after all, the Jete purpose to provide not just W's but some comic relief.

xcuse me, bit are you talking about Luke Faulk? Only 6 of his 20 completions were 1st downs

There is a flipside to your arugment. The jest game planned for the browns defense. The browns didn't game plan for Luke Falk.

While they technically scored on the drive Falk came in, that drive was extended on the hit that knocked Siemian out of the game. Which was the only drive they scored on.

Longest drive they had while the game was still a game (16-3 with 3 minutes in the 3rd left) was 60 yards. Browns got a TD after that and went up 23-3

Wasn't until they were down 20 that jest got 160 of their 262 yards. Those 3 drives

6 plays 45 yards 2:46 (stated 0:36 3rd quarter)
Falk was 4 of 5 for 46 yards bulk of the yardage came on 2 short passes that Bell & Anderson turned into 17 & 20 yard plays
Bell had a rush of -1 on the drive

5 plays 47 yards 2:51 (started 9:50 4th quarter)
Falk was 4 of 4 for 52 yards almost all the yardage came on a 30 yard pass and and a short pass turned into 17 yards

6 plays 58 yards 1:05 (started 1:05 4th quarter)
Falk 3 for 4 for 26 yards

Falk was 10 of 13 for 124 yards

So as you can see most of Falk's statline was accumulated in garbage time.

Aha! That's the real reason they cut AB.

Sorry but January 2010 still burns deeply in my soul. For me its #2 for all time Patriot losses, and even that sorry record from 2015 on, still won't wipe it away.

I not only feel your pain, I share it. But the blind squirrel finds acorn 2010 playoff game is a full generation or two ago in NFL years. Heck, they hadn't even become the Jete yet. Live in the now brother

What was it? Only a month earlier in December 2010 I was at the night game where we devastated that same Jete 45-3. Hubris. I never expected what happened in January.

The "pretty good" Browns defense that gave up 43 points to the Titans for their home opener?

Yeah, Falk somehow managed to lead his offense to score 3 points against them. Maybe I'm taking him too lightly.

1) It's "Falk"
2) The Jets are missing anyone worth anything on their defense
3) The only Jets offensive weapon worth anything has a bum shoulder.
4) January 2011 was nearly 9 years ago. The only players still on either team from that time are Brady, Gostkowski and Devin McCourty.

Their defensive line is so good they lost their first two games at home against marginal-at-best teams, the second one handily. You want to see a bad offensive line? Check out the one the Browns rolled out last week. That's what a bad offensive line looks like.

I've always enjoyed your posts in the past Ken, but in the last few months, you've lost a ton off your fastball, imo.

WHEN THE PATRIOTS PASS
The issues along the offensive line and Brown’s exit are going to have a domino effect on the Patriots passing game. The Patriots still have high-end talent at wideout with Julian Edelman and a physical option in Josh Gordon. They still have one of the hardest offenses in the league to defend against schematically because of the formations, motions, personnel groupings and versatility. They use their backs in the passing game as well as anyone. But they have no proven tight end option (though Lacosse sparked optimism last week) and the blitzing style of Gregg Williams’ defense means the Patriots will need to keep some extra bodies in to protect. The Patriots will be looking to get it out quick and that means they’ll have to win 1-on-1 quickly. Keep an eye on Jakobi Meyers getting a high number of looks.

ADVANTAGE: Jets

Is Curran serious?
Curran's hard-on for Gregg Williams is bizarre.

I don't know if the Jets will cross the 50.

Belichick is going to confuse the living **** out of Falk.

Fluke, Funk, Falk, Faulk...whatever, fuk em he's a Jete
Well if you're going to be terrified of someone, you may as well spell his name correctly.

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but don’t the jets suck?
hmmm, the Jets suck......that's kind of catchy. Probably not enough for a thread of its own though....or is it?
