Fact of the matter is, Bill runs a tight ship. He thought brown after being released from the raiders would fall in line for 3 months.

If he stays quiet he probably still is playing. Instead he cant help himself and a week into his tenure disobeys bill and texts an accuser with pictures of her kids. This is a coach who benched Walker for feet comments, and butler for who knows what.

If hes still on the team there will be something new next week or the week after. This is a guy who threatened to retire due to his helmet, then froze his feet off, then got in a fight with his gm and then posted a video featuring a private phone call between him and his coach.

I wanted it to work out as much as the next guy but the guy just cannot fall in line.

Well that assumes Klemko is right and isnt just teaching to make hud article look better. But if it were credible the patriots probably checked it out since the bonus is due Monday.

If it was legit reporting you may be in to something but I don’t have a lot of confidence it was legit.

They outrighened made a veiled to put him on the list. They didn't send that memo out for nothing.

I'm sorry but you are being naive. The case being civil has NO BEARING on who is eligible for the exemption list. It is quite literally stated the qualification is "unusual circumstances". A rape allegation that the player was actively negotiationg a settelement with behind the backs of the league that is now going to trial, a second accuser, and him going against the advice of the league and sending her an intimidating text easily pass any standard on that. Before you could argue the league didn't want to push it on a mere one off allegation. Now he's contacting these women after he was told not to.

Yes they are outright saying that he's looking down the barrel of the exemption list. They don't trust him to not let this get out of control and he's already not listening to their explicite warnings.

Ben had an allegation. Ben kept his mouth shut in public and wasn't contacting his accusers and ignoring the NFL. AB is incapable of not adding fuel to the fire

i am sure he Antonio’d. I seem to think he went to practice. During that time the text accusation was in full force in Kraft world. Kraft and the league and their legal teams were sorting everything out. They both came out with statements about the cease and desist. By the end of the day Kraft knew the league was going to strike. Kraft also knew they had till Monday to refuse to pay him the bonus money and to draw up a legal plan on that front. Kraft wanted BB’s approval to release him so as to not create fiction. BB sat AB down and let him know about the cease and desist and his disdain to the continued distractions. AB objected and that was it. Kraft and BB were United and They cut ties

Again he will never see the exempt list! It would open up for women to come out and accuse football players out of nowhere . It’s like you’re guilty and that’s that even in a civil suit. CBA around the corner as well.

He told her friend to dig up dirt on her. That's a threat. He has no jurisdiction or legal right over her life to order people to find information about her or to snoop around her personal life. Threat is a word. There is a legal standard for unlawful threats. Something can be a threatening and reach the thresholds of being unlawful. That is the grey area.

Criminal law requires higher thresholds to enact a process that takes away someones liberty (as it should). That doesn't mean someone can't do something that meets the spirit of certain words like threat or harrassment but is vague enough or obscured enough to not be legally actionable.

Also most people on facebook when they get in a dispute with someone aren't starting a group chat with their buddies and the person they have an issue with to berate them and talk about digging up dirt and asking around about them

Look - this is a coach who benched a starting WR in the first series of a playoff game against a team the coach HATES for telling a couple of jokes after being ordered to shut up.

Is it really so hard to believe that coach would cut a player for shenanigans after being told (probably multiple times) to lay low and shut up that you have to involve media conspiracies, etc.??
