Antonio Brown

SPN Boston reports Antonio Brown is unlikely to get any of his $9 million signing bonus from the Patriots.
The Patriots plan to use the "representation warranty clause" to void Brown's signing bonus. Brown didn't disclose he was dealing with an off-field situation before signing with New England, which they view as a breach of contract. The NFLPA could file a grievance, but it sounds like Brown may only end up with his $1 million salary, two game checks ($125K), and a $33,333 roster bonus. Since Brown was released after June 1, any money the Patriots owe can be spread out over the next two years.

Mediocre movie, though. The personal melodrama (so typical of movies then) wrecked it.
Yea but its from my childhood. It could be the worst and i'd still like it.

sometimes they work out,,Dillon, Moss..sometimes they don't. I have no problem with the Pats taking chances, low risk, high reward. ...I don't give a crap about perception and what the media thinks.

I'm working on a poll to helps us move on. Tell me what you think.

Who's the biggest douche bag in Patriots history?

What an absolute monstrosity of a signing... a complete and utter failure of management

Total waste of cap space, money that could have been used to bring in a solid veteran LT/RT

Never hated being so right about a player

This situation has actually been an excellent example of why the NFL should mind its own freakin' business.

Yep.

Midway crippled the Jap's ability to expand eastward.

Coral Sea stymied advancement to Australia.

Leyte Gulf broke their back and paved the way for Allied advancement to Japan without any naval interference. Problem is that introduced the kamikaze attacks, sadly.

All were strategically important in their own measure.
Nice to talk to folks as into history, especially WW2, as me. Yes, my understanding is the Battle of Leyte Gulf, pretty much ended the Empire of Japan's naval force as anything the US Navy needed to worry about.

The Navies are an excellent example of how absurd Japan's believe in any hope of defeating us in a war. At the beginning of the war we had 4 or 5 Pacific carriers, and maybe 100 other ships (battleships, cruisers, destroyers, etc)

By the end of the war the US Navy had 1110 ELEVEN HUNDRED vessels in the general vicinity of Japan, and we had like 35, THIRTY FIVE aircraft carriers. The Japanes were insane!

@Elijah

No arguments on that. I wasn't ranking them by importance, just the movie I'd like to see done. ;)
its funny you and I essentially calling a truce over our shared interest in utterly devastating historical naval warfare battles

Just a thought: Thank Christ we didn’t trade a first round pick for him!

Antonio Brown to Antonio Clown ...
I was so excited to watch him in our offense ... would have been epic.

Strategically Japan only really wanted eastern Asia. The motivation behind the US attacks/occupations was forcing the US to lift oil and trade embargo with Japan.

Attacking Pearl Harbor was a calculated gamble. They wanted to force the US to the negotiating table. Instead the woke the sleeping giant.

I'm still pissed at the original Midway.

You do not kill off Charlton Heston. Period.
Agreed. Though fictional, Captain Garth was a great character. And I always liked that movie, and it got me into learning a lot about the Pacific at that time.

The new Midway every character is based on real like American heroes and I love that ****. Some media outlets have criticized the movie because "the last thing we need is a a rah rah good old American boy patriotic movie where they are presented as heroes" I wanted to break my computer I was so pissed

I haven't seen the new Midway. I heard it was so-so?

My prediction was that he would last less than a month. Looks like i was right. Lot of posters here need to eat some crow.

One answer only:

Aaron Hernandez.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick jointly determined Friday that wide receiver Antonio Brown had overstayed his welcome.

Kraft, who was on a business trip, became enraged Friday when he heard the details of Brown’s most recently reported incident of text messaging harassment of a former female acquaintance. Kraft and Belichick spoke and decided together to officially release Brown just 11 days after the Patriots signed the controversial star receiver, according to sources.
How Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick arrived at decision to...
