Antonio Brown

Context:

Antonio Brown postseason: 51 receptions, 4 touchdowns
Danny Amendola postseason: 57 receptions, 6 touchdowns

Antonio Brown regular season: 841 receptions, 11,263 yards, 75 TDS.

Danny Amendola regular season: 492 receptions, 4,788 yards, 21 TDS.

I think I’ll take the first player over the second any day of the week. The playoff stats are skewed.

My goodness, this Pats organization? Steelers handled AB for 9 years, raiders for several months and pats can’t handle him for 2 weeks?

In his defense, if he truly is innocent, how would you react if literally every media outlet in the world is calling you a rapist and sexual predator? Not to mention every time you go on the internet or social media every person is saying the same thing?
I'd insist my lawyers and pr people do everything to clear my name and follow their professional advice.

Obviously every media outlet didn't cover it. Most of the minority of outlets that covered it referred to them as allegations and a civil case.

It's incredibly annoying and stupid to use the word "literally" and then follow it with a figurative statement.

Can we go 5-0 before the browns game? I think that bills game won’t be easy. I expect a slugfest.

bet you now, AB is wishing he paid that 2million$
There’s nothing next. Guaranteed you this will die down. They have accomplished what they have accomplished. They will investigate this. Brown just needs to focus on this and then see if someone will give him another chance. If you have guys like Big Ben, hill, etc playing then even brown deserves another chance. Heck even ray lewis killed a guy and he went on and played.

oh, someone will sign him after all of this is settled. the NFL is full of scumbag players and no one seems to care. Hill broke his sons arm and Chiefs fans will defend him to death, Suggs poured bleach down his girlfriends throat. Ray lewis killed a guy and has a statue! Big Ben was accused of sexually assaulting women twice!

This season though is probably out of the question

Trent Williams. That 9million is now towards his salary.

With this trade, it will make the OL strong thru the playoffs into the SB...

Unfortunately BEYOND the cap problems that trade would inflict, the enmity that exists between William and Bruce Allen is so great that Allen would never "reward" Williams with a trade to NE. OTOH, he'd gladly send him to Miami for a first ;)

Forget about William. Not going to happen. Our best option is to hope that Newhouse and Cunninghim can hold the fort enough while Cannon and Wynn recover.

Meanwhile I wouldn't mind it if we got a Cajusti update now and again. He was supposed to be ready around the start of camp. Any word he might be back in November?

You're just a memory now Antonio...

Tomlin keeps the locker room in much better order than that enabler Bill Belichick.

I'll buy that.
But think about it, just think about it. Someone is suing you and included bad behavior in the lawsuit. You start texting with an angry tone with this person? What? WHAT??? She's probably on the phone with her lawyer after the first text comes in reading them real time. No matter how much he may feel wronged (putting aside his actual or not culpability) how could he have not thought 'everything I say will be going wright to her lawyer'? It's so shockingly astonishingly ill-conceived it strongly suggests he lacks a relatively basic interpersonal thought process mechanism or his background makes him devoid of any sense of the world he lives in now(and has lived in for several years).

Your thought about Brown's lack of awareness has merit but the woman he texted wasn't the same woman that is suing him. So while we are on the subject of "shockingly astonishingly ill-conceived" and 'basic thought process' a little attention to detail might not be amiss. ;)

It sounds like you’re literally taking things too literal.

either way, Bill wins. Now Bill can come in monday and eshow his team that he doesnt care how talented you are, if you dont buy in you are gone.

Interesting thought. I know Brown would still get paid, but does the team with a player on the exempt list still have his salary go against the cap?

Beyond that, maybe the ghost of Myra Kraft visited Bob in his sleep and he felt bad. Who knows.

End of the day, it's disappointing. Seeing Brown in that offense would have been a lot of fun. In another way, the controversy was irritating to me, so I'll be glad it's gone. (Is that allowed? Can we be middle of the road about all this?)

Don't know the answer to your question, but you can be sure Drew Rosenhaus got his 30% of what the Raiders and the Patriots paid him. AB is like walking ATM to Rosenhaus.

So glad this is over. Are we a better team on Sunday without him? No.

Don't care, much more excited to root for Gordon, Edelman, and Dorsett than this guy. Thanks for giving me a really fun Saturday 13 days ago when we were all just hoping he'd get over his severe case of bizarro behavior.

Leaving aside the allegations, I think Antonio Brown is not well and if he doesn't get help I don't know how much longer he has left and I'm not being dramatic. I think this guy is going to end up dead in 5-10 years unless he gets serious professional help.

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm going on the sauce now

They care when the player has a pats uniform. Fact!

Like Miami would make that trade at the moment. . . .

What’s worse, the 17 jersey or super-AIDS?
