Last time I made a bet was week 1 last year when Jets were big underdogs to Detroit. That one paid off.

Seems a little odd for them to cut Obi given that he is being paid the same as if he was on the 53. Maybe it’s a temporary wink-nudge move for tryout purposes? Maybe he got hurt and is being given an injury settlement? Maybe he signed with someone else’s 53?

Unless they expect Develin to be out for a while, I doubt we make any significant moves ahead of this game. Chances are we just use more 10 and 11 personnel between the 20's, and use Izzo or an ambitious defensive player in the "FB" position on goal line.

Sure. But 22.5 points is a lot to cover. You'd have to be extremely confident, or just a super fanboy, to bet the Patriots to cover that. Which they absolutely could. But say Brady's calf acts up in the first quarter, and Stidham has to finish, and they only win 24-3? Still a blowout and a dominating performance, but it doesn't cover.

Wonder if the line will change over the weekend. We may be without Develin, which I doubt changes anything, but I can see not having AB, changing the spread. Slightly.

But it's also looking like the Jets may be without two starting LBs, DL, WR.
