yup, that's what happened to Ben

Yeah but the circumstances here as really strange. Wouldn't surprise me to see him get 6 games, then appeal, and have it dropped to like 4 games or something.

$2M is not "anything"
It is likely enough to fund her gym, even after paying the attorneys.

The same gym brown stopped making payments on after things got sour between the two. Also had a bogus site online.

Yes, I want AB on the team.

I am not so fragile that the constant news about AB affects me or my enjoyment of the Patriots. I do not believe that BB and the team are so fragile that the Distraction Boogey Man is a real thing.

I enjoy the Patriots being the most hated team ever. If having AB on the team drives the rest of the NFL batsh1t insane, I look at it as a victory.

AB is a moron and all evidence points to him being a piece of excrement. If he helps the Patriots sweep the leg, deliver atomic wedgies, pick your metaphor...then he is my piece of excrement.

IF he is found to be guilty of rape, I will have a different view. Until then, I'm not feeling woke.

I want to change my vote.

I want AB here in the Billerica House of Correction.

That disappeared before Brown signed. It was bizarre how quickly those Chung allegations went away like it never happened.
It was a one time isolated issue + he wasn’t even at the scene when it happened, making anything they found questionable. Those two aspects made it pretty easy to wait and allow the process to play out. It’s not like we hear news about Pat Chung every single day.

I didn’t want him on the team in the first place, but now that we’re on the hook for at least $9 million against our cap I would like to see him stay so we can get a return on that investment.

If this escalated to a criminal case and he was found guilty, then I would hope the Pats cut him immediately, chalk it up to a bad business decision and move on

Wait. Seriously? You are equating law and universal morality as a 1:1 thing?

He's already crossed a threshold that Brown hasn't is the point.

The difference? You can't draft Chung to your fantasy team, and outside of New England, no one knows who he is.

Why arent all the peeps up in arms about Chung who was I suppose guilty of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute i think? Pretty serious crime.

Not a peep

They probably would be, if Brown's drama wasn't creating such an efficient distraction.

Every now and again I get the distinct impression Bill Belichick knows what he's doing.

I read the email and text messages from AB. I don’t see anything menacing or incriminating. If that’s the evidence, it really only points that AB isn’t good at writing anything. There were no frank or implied threats, no admission of anything wrong. There’s absolutely no reason to cut a player on contract. I think they would lose a court case if they did. He could sue the team and win.

Perhaps I don’t know the entire story so correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not going to try to find details in the megathread. If it comes to that, i’d rather they just unjustly cut him.
