The hack dig up her name from public records and called her. She choose to give him the info that fit his narrative.

She was quiet and silent for years until this.

Exactly. She was quiet. Some journalist did his job and looked up public records, called the woman pursuing the suit, and she told the truth. Never sued him for damages. Never sought money other than that which she was owed. In other words, she's highly credible.

You are very condescending. I have nothing to be sorry about. Nothing to "figure out."
You have chosen to not extend to me the courtesy I requested.

If your expectation is for me to show you the same level of courtesy and respect, that will not happen.

Then why bring it up now and not when the incident happened?

She didn’t call the writer and offer up the info, she was contacted years after and asked if she had a story to tell that fits this hacks narrative.

You answered your own question. Because she was contacted. Until she was contacted, she didn't seek out the media to tell her story. Once she was contacted, she thought she'd shed light on what a creep he is so that others would know what a creep he is.

Belichick says, "we take all situations with our team very seriously", and "there are some things we're looking into".

Clearly they're not dismissing this as some media-driven agenda that's irrelevant to Brown or the team.
Bill is walking the line with this nut. All he can really do.

That presser was brutal. BB about to call him into his office and beat him with a shovel.

High School drama and I feel it will be gone soon enough

Yes and her story gets published on SI. She could have said no again.

He would love to beat up the reporters first

I don’t think he’s gonna do something drastic but the media wants brown’s head on a platter so in the end he gets released.

Belichick isn't cutting Brown.

It's hilarious watching journalists and writers twist themselves into a pretzel because they're not getting their way.

My point is that IF the Patriots said, "Any more of this and you're gone" (which was what the poster I originally cited said the Pats have probably done), and he continues in that behavior, then they need to cut him like they said they would. ("...and you're gone" indicating what the consequence would be for that behavior)

If you say you're cutting a guy if he does X, and the guy does, in fact, do X, then you need to cut him. So if you're not planning on cutting him if he does X, then don't tell him you're gonna cut him if he does X.

Make sense?
Yes.

If the NEP told Brown he'd be cut if he made contact with people he has a contentious relationship with then I agree.

We all would. But as long as AB is on the roster..his pressers will be cut short over and over and the media...this forum..will talk about this more than the actual game

He would love to beat up the reporters first

Asking a bunch of AB questions after BB said he wouldn't answer any AB questions really worked well the last time around. I wonder why they thought it was a good idea this time.

To the people that are so adamant SI didn't pay the painter woman, how are you so sure?

The issue with that is she claims the sexual misconduct was basically nothing and she was over it. She even said Brown paid her for the 2 days she worked so by her words it wasn't about money. So why go on record to SI? Was it just to get the story out? Seems odd if in her own words it was a nothing incident and Brown paid her. It's hard not to question if she was paid to go on record especially seeing is how she and her attorney went directly to Klemko after the text messages and gave him the texts. Why did she immediately go to the nfl? Was she directed by Klemko to take it to the nfl? Just odd that you would run to the nfl to get him to stop and not the police/courts if he was threatening.

I'm going to answer this because it was asked respectfully and not spammed a dozen times like it has been by some other fake Patriots fans from NYC in this thread.

If you think that SI routinely pays sources for information, then sure, maybe she got paid. I don't think they do, most media outlets don't pay for information (except for National Inquirer, etc.) as there are serious ethical violations in doing that and it reduces the level of trust in the outlet:

Chequebook journalism - Wikipedia

Now the counter-argument might be that you hate SI because of Deflategate or whatever, or you hate all news media because of political reasons. That's a different argument that doesn't belong on this board. If you think that all news is fake and just pays off sources then we just have to disagree on that because neither of us is going to convince the other.

If you think that SI doesn't pay sources except for this one case because they are trying to hurt that Patriots then that's yet another discussion and I'd say it's homerism / tinfoil hat (not saying you are, JMC, but others might).

To answer your other (reasonable) question then I thought @QuantumMechanic had a great post which was that the NFL has the potential to act faster to make it stop than the cops or the courts do, which could take weeks to months. It was actually pretty smart IMO, she knows how these things work.

Everyone on here is saying "The Patriots need to sit down with AB and tell him to stop being a distraction and sending text messages". Going to the NFL makes that happen a lot faster.

Also earlier this week, we talked a lot about your question about why she went to SI in the first place which was just that she heard that AB had assaulted another woman and wanted to go on the record with her own experience to support that woman (which from my perspective is reasonable even if I think the assault charge is questionable).

I don’t think he’s gonna do something drastic but the media wants brown’s head in a platter so in the end he gets released.
I dunna know. We have 20 years of history showing BB going to great lengths in accommodating any/all requests and demands made by the media.

You have chosen to not extend to me the courtesy I requested.

If your expectation is for me to show you the same level of courtesy and respect, that will not happen.
Oh please. I didn't disrespect you in the least. Asking for an apology does not mean you deserve one. You obviously do not deserve an apology from me because I didn't say anything to you that necessitates one. I am now done arguing with you about whether I should apologize. Your antics right now are extremely juvenile. Perhaps you should apologize for that.

I think he will get suspended for 4-6 games which, quite honestly, I think would benefit everyone.

I honestly don't think a 4 game suspension would be the worst thing in the world, would let cooler heads prevail, but I feel like that's only going to set AB off even more, especially when it's been done strictly off of accusations.

The NFLPA would have a field day with that as well.
