In order to be a witness under the law, you have to be a witness. It's a juridical state of being, like you need to have been designated a witness by one of the parties in a given case in order to be a witness. Witness intimidation requires you to be a named witness. This woman has not been. Just stop.
Once the NFL Investigation is concluded, and assuming the Civil Rape Case goes forward, anyone who spoke to the NFL will be a witness.

If that case does not go forward, which I suspect it won't, then you will be correct.

It’s really not but the dumbass including her in a group text where he is asking people to investigate her, and then adding pictures of her kids to the group text is very bad optics. Especially considering his current predicament.
Where did he ask people to investigate her? Maybe I didn’t see all of it.

THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS

You either are a witness or you are not. "Might be" is not contemplated under the law.

Seriously you need to read "Trial Law for Dummies" or something

1. Won’t root for a guy that threatens kids
2. Don’t want him on the team
3. I think he’s gone from the Patriots anyway

4. When your own lawyer throws you under the bus you are indefensible

It’s funny because I was gonna post how so many people in this thread must be yoga experts given that they’ve bent over backwards defending this scumbag. Today is just the latest example.
Anyone defending Antonio Brown for his actions is just a level of stupid that I can't really imagine.

The question is, what he actually did. The question is, why the media is portraying it like a mob hit. The question is, if she really was threatened and harassed, why did she go Sports Illustrated and the NFL, and not the police? It's weird.

That said, and I've said this several times already, Brown is a moron, and by the wording in his contract, it can now be voided by the team if they so choose. The NFL /can/ put him on the exempt list, but I still don't think they will, over this.

If he goes, he goes. **** him. If he stays, he'd better produce, or he'll hear it.

You think the Pats will take the high ground and act first? Or will the NFL have to do it?

More to the point, why is AB doing anything to add fuel to this thing? He should put down his phone and let his counsel handle any communications with the media, accusers, or opposing counsel. His job right now is to learn the playbook and focus on the Jets game, nothing more. This guy is so undisciplined.
But people are saying these texts will get him suspended.
I’m not saying it’s the best way to spend his time I’m just wondering why people think it’s suspension worthy to text someone who si wrote an article about them saying negative things about you.
I get the idea that most people would think it’s best to just leave it alone but not thinking that doesn’t make it illegal or justification to lose your job.

Now if these texts were to the woman suing him over alleged rape that would be a different story.

I don't care if what he sent was an innocent hello. Why is he in contact with this woman during an investigation?

Agree but that’s a different argument.

Then she should have gone to the police and reported the crime. Not Sports Illustrated and the NFL.

Because harassment isn't a crime unless it rises to the level of stalking....that's how I understand it. I could be wrong

Aside from that, it violates the NFL's personal conduct code. So it might warrant discplinary action from the League.

If the Pats or Goodell deep six Antonio Brown, just remember this team is one Edelman injury or one Josh Gordon bong hit or rail of coke away from playing on wild card weekend if they're lucky...

Report: Antonio Brown harasses latest accuser via text message

Maybe this has been already posted here, but anyway

He needs to go. I think this is the last straw... If there is accusation, you stay cool and deal with this in the proper way, defending legally yourself

To go and freak out against someone who is making severe accusations, even if they are false, it's stupidity to the highest degree

I won't even be mad if he gets suspended, this guy is erratic

threatens kids? How do people come up with stuff like this? Please read before posting crap like this

If I were betting, I'd say neither of them do until something criminal comes down the road - which it really should have by this point, and hasn't, so...that's weird too.

The NFL's reluctant to put someone on the exempt list over a civil case, so I would be surprised if it came from them first. Patriots have an out in the contract now if they want it. I'm not sure Bob Kraft can really stake out the moral high ground at this point, but we'll see.

Probably a CTE problem.

Can't imagine being the attorney on that group text. I've seen some stupid **** as a union rep that people include me on and I'm like nooo why would you do that...

He also clearly knew she was on the text chain if you look at the texts. The whole thing was clearly intended to intimidate and demean her. I guess it's patsfans dot com but man some of you guys...

Ah, union rep....so you surely have friends in the business of intimidation.

She didn’t go to SI.

She sued him in the Pennsylvania courts for her painting and for the $700 he owed her from the auction. SI found the court case through reporting and they contacted her. She had no intention of publicizing any of this until then.

Who is the creep here? The woman who didn’t seek out publicity or the guy who threatens kids?

I don't know, putting an attorney on retainer under circumstances in whuch you're making claims about public figures seems like a prudent move regardless of whether you want to sue or not. You and I would do the same thing, so I don't think it really raises an eyebrow.
Only reason I'm slightly suspicious because she is not pursuing (at least not to my knowledge) filing a criminal complaint.

No, I mean, yesterday. She went to SI and the NFL, not the police.
