I probably shouldn’t be shocked by this new news but I am. This guy is unbelievable. I only can think of two explanations for why someone under such a massive microscope would think it is a good idea to include an accuser in a group text with his lawyer and friends and then double down on stupidity by including a photo of her kids....severe mental illness or severe inebriation with side orders of entitlement and douchebaggery.

99% chance that his lawyer or agent (or both) have told him to lay low and not bring any more negative attention to himself bc people at gunning for him and waiting for him to slip up again. Unless his lawyer is a total worthless hack, he also likely advised him to avoid personally communicating with any of his accusers for any reason. Want to try to smooth things over with one or more of them? Ok, AB, but let us make that communication for you.

Also, assuming these texts are legit, why wouldn’t his lawyer and his friends immediately text him or, even better, call him after his first text and say “AB, what the f*ck are you doing?! Put down your damn phone and end this text thread right f*cking now! This will end very f*cking badly for you if you keep going”. They just let him continue to send several more moronic, self destructive texts? It makes no sense.

There is a decent chance that this is going to end with Brown’s release as soon as later today, no? As much as I want to see what this offense could be with him, this guy is likely to be an ongoing headache and distraction, if he can’t shut the f*ck up/avoid stupidity for more than a week. Especially with another multimillion dollar bonus due on Monday, they may cut bait.....unless the report is somehow inaccurate or, even less likely, that the texts were fabricated somehow.

I’m no Stacey James but perhaps his only chance to survive this latest incident would be to make a public mea culpa and apology...blame it on letting the stress of all of these reports get to him, coupled with an evening of too much alcohol while celebrating his new opportunity with the Patriots with friends/family (ie. the drunk text defense).

Finally, while I do believe that his texts to this woman could be considered a mild form of harassment and intimidation, this isn’t even in the same stratosphere as Hunt’s “You should be afraid of me too, *****!”. That threat to his fiance and son didn’t cost him a single game and he still got an extension from the Chiefs. Not that we can expect any consistency from Goodell but on that basis alone this should not lead to a Brown suspension.

AB's taking a page out of the Tyreek Hill playbook.

As I mentioned in my long post above, on the threat scale of 1 to 10, this incident doesn’t compare to what Hunt said to his fiancé....and the NFL sat on their hands in that case until the noise died down and ultimately did nothing to that scumbag.

Edit: *Hill

I've actually just stopped paying attention to this guy because it's just too ****ing much.

I'm not sure how much I believe in the concept of a distraction - I mean you either execute on a play because you prepared to do your job or not but this guy is really challenging that notion.

Hunt?

Exactly. For those comparing this to the Hill situation just remember that Hill was still on the field for KC week 1.

Enough is enough. If you cut him now, the offense won't reach 07 levels. But it doesn't have to. The defense is perfectly capable of dragging this team to a SB win. Pats tried their best. It didn't work out. He's gotta go.

Gordon, Edelman, Meyers, and Dorsett. Still an okay NFL level offense.

I think you’re thinking of Hill, not Hunt. Unfortunately, there were too many scumbags to keep track of.

In the case of Hill and his comments to his fiancée, let’s remember that KC suspended him from the end of April to the end of the NFL’s investigation, which occurred 3 months later right in time for training camp.

No, he wasn’t technically suspended, but he was still gone for 3 months while they sorted it all out. In the case of Brown, it’s doubtful that he’ll see the field again this year.

Correct. But remember Hill's investigation began in April. No charges were filed on him. Had the Hill issue began in September, he would be on the exempt list right now. The timing worked out perfectly for KC.

Brown will be cut today by noon. And rightfully so. His NFL career may be done.

I’m not considering any type of suspension during the offseason a suspension. Would KC handled the situation the same had this happened in September?

Did I miss something? Is he being criminally charged with a crime?

It has to be a distraction in terms of time wasted trying to incorporate him into the offense. At the very least, all of Brady, McDaniels, and Belichick have wasted precious time with this guy.

If you add in the specific gameplanning and the amount of reps he’s taking from someone else like Meyers, it’s got to be something of a distraction to the way this team normally prepares.

He's most definitely going on the exempt list or suspended indefinitely after these alleged threats via text. And he will be cut by noon today.

Personally, I think they would. I think the accusation was too serious for them to ignore it, particularly after the Kareem Hunt saga.

Why is SI this women's mouthpiece? And why is she running to the nfl and not authorities about this? Did SI influence her to do that? Did SI hire a lawyer for her?

question is can we even cut him? 10 M dead cap unless we put language in contract that allows us to just walk away.

And then add Harry week 8...potential to be significantly stronger than last year’s receiving crew (minus a step or two slower than his peak Gronk).

The inclusion of the pictures of the kids was just too much when factoring in some of the other stuff.

It may/may not have been enough on its own, but as of today, someone is going to do something to prevent Brown from playing on Sundays.

I personally don't think Harry will be back by week 8. Just a hunch.
