After two weeks, how many teams are done?

Might not take 8 wins this year.

It will in the AFC. At first blush it might seem the flawed AFCS might produce a division winner with a losing record but they get the flailing NFCS this season as well as the AFCW. Sure that means the Chiefs & Chargers but it also means Denver & Oakland

Might I suggest people also offering their thoughts on teams that have started out rough but have a very slight chance of being contenders?

I'm quite interested, and probably entirely too much so, in seeing how much Green's return effects the Bengals offense. While they're operating behind a terrible OL and the most hard-ceiling'd QB of the decade, their receivers have put up quite decent numbers.

Ross: 11 catches for 270 yards and 3 TD's
Boyd: 18 catches for 182 yards.

Once Green comes back, those other two will receive lesser coverage and maybe thrive off of it. And as we've seen with the Patriots, sometimes that improvement in your passing offense is all you need to mask some o-line issues, and can help Mixon get some decent chunks.

After watching the debacle on TNF tonight if the Titans stay with Mariota they are done like last Sunday's dinner.

Tonight's game is between two teams who will not be done, whether they win or not. So, with that being said, would anyone like to modify their list?

The only modification I would add is...the Jete still suck

Denver, Miami, Arizona, and the Jest's will be battling it out for the first overall, well, Miami first and those three for second. They all look awful. Denver has the best coaching staff so they'd probably be the best of the worst. Arizona has a defense that would give up 40 Miami, and Miami has a defense that would give up 40 to Arizona. And New York......just a horrible organization all around.

Add Pitt who is 0-3 & gave up their 1st for Minkah. Might go down as one of the most boneheaded decisions ever.

Jets, phins, bengals, Steelers, raiders, broncos, giants, cardinals, bucs, panthers.

Then there’s some fringe teams who probably won’t make it that I don’t wanna put in there yet, like Washington and Jax

I'm adding Washington. No OL and a D that was schooled schematically by Chicago of all teams.

Regards,
Chris

All the 0-3 teams.

Jets Fins Bengals Steelers Broncos Redskins Cards (0-2-1)

The only 1-2 team I’d still say is out of is the Giants. Panthers and Bucs maybe, but we’ll see how their division plays out.

No 1-2 team in the AFC is out of it simply because the WC competition is pretty soft. Raiders are close, though.

Of the 0-3 teams, I don't believe that the Steelers are done. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up 9-7 or even 10-6 (not sure what that will get them) because they've done this many times in the past after sluggish starts or middles. Rudolph may surprise. And the rest of the team is strong enough to make them competitive.

My list from last week:

Dolphins
Jets
Bengals
Broncos
Giants
Redskins
Cardinals

I'm adding

Steelers
Raiders

which takes me to 9 teams that, barring something very unusual happening, I think are out of the playoff hunt after just 3 weeks.

Nah, they’re done. They stink.

Steelers:
at home: Bengals, Ravens, Dolphins, Colts, Rams, Browns, Bills
on road: Chargers, Browns, Bengals, Cardinals, Jets, Ravens

That's 8 wins, max, which is exactly what we want. Keeps the hope alive and (probably) coach in place.

I've got them as done, too. Look at their schedule, though.

Bengals
Ravens
@Chargers
Dolphins
Colts
Rams
@Browns
@Bengals
Browns
@Cardinals
Bills
@Jets
@Ravens

CAN they still get 8-9 wins out of that, given how the other teams are playing? I think they could, theoretically, because that's not a tough schedule. I just don't see it happening.

Jets and Dolphins are done, the Bills are next.

In NFC, Bears won't go anywhere with Trubisky. He doesn't seem to have improved since last year. If that team had an avg/above avg. QB, they have a decent change at a wildcard spot.

Trubisky declared the effective end of his career on the Thursday night season opener. The past couple of games have confirmed that declaration. I just hope the Bears are smarter than the Giants (and I expect they are).

Giants aren't done.

As much as they've hurt me in Super Bowls, after all the flak from online Madden geniuses I can't help but to root for Daniel Jones to shut up people who act like the draft is an exact science because they've read 2 draft boards and start REEEEE'ing about reaches.

Nah they are done. Abysmal defense
