His incentives are considered "not likely to be achieved" to begin with, so even if all this went away tomorrow, he isn't really going to get them. IIRC, he has to equal or improve on all his last year's stats to get any

Also, I think you’re referring to the Hill case where the prosecutor felt that a crime had been committed but said that he didn’t have enough evidence to prove it. Maybe it was both Zeke and Hill.

The legal investigation didn’t bring charges, and yet he was still suspended. You claimed that suspending Brown without charges would be unprecedented. That’s not true.

Also, I think it goes without saying that the state of FL is looking into a rape case that is now receiving national attention, so there’s that angle too.

Well she has to prove everything she alleges. Right now it’s she said he said. She needs hard evidence and incriminating evidence. Brown has maintain it was consensual. She never filed a criminal report.

I understand, but she never filed a criminal complaint against Brown in the other two cases in Pittsburgh, and yet they investigated those even though they were much less serious. The DA came out with the statement that the statute of limitations had expired just yesterday.

If you’re claiming that the state of FL isn’t going to investigate the possibility of criminal charges for rape now that it’s receiving national attention, I think you’d be wrong.

They can investigate all they want but it has to be good solid evidence. Text degrading her is not gonna help. She has already lied about the type of relationship they had. Also if those videos are after she won’t look good.

While you're right that Fl can open an investigation without the alleged victim, it would be a waste of Florida's time. This is well past the alleged incident date, there was no police report, there was no contact with the prosecutor's office, there is no rape kit and, unless there's been a lot that's been needlessly hidden, it would be just a he said/she said/he was there situation, which means that there would be no evidence found.

That doesn't mean that Florida won't investigate, of course. High profile situations lead to things being done differently, after all.

Of course. All fair points, although then we’re back to the possibility of Goodell suspending him or placing him on the CE list even though criminal charges were never filed.

I do think that it will help tremendously if FL doesn’t file charges, but it’s not a good look for new stories to be coming out and two separate companies to have severed ties with his endorsement deals, especially the Nike one.
