ultimately, the head coach is responsible to know what the hell is going on

Regardless, the penalty against Williams should have been more severe than Payton. Banning Payton for 1 year means you ban Williams for life.

Williams should have been suspended for life.

Payton shouldn't have been suspended for a year.

And, NO, it wasn't "just like us". Cameragate and Deflategate were NOWHERE NEAR instructing to physically injure someone.

.
The punishment was over the top. Even Tags agreed. That is my point.

You already have failed spectacularly in lame attempts to defend your team's scumbag DC. Time to put the computer away and go play in traffic.

Williams deserved suspension, Payton did not.

Why not? He was the HC and he was responsible for his DC's conduct. Plus, it's hard to believe he didn't know what Williams was preaching.

For Payton, yes. For Williams, no.

Perhaps you disagree, that's fine.
No I have no issue with Williams being suspended.

Defending? Try celebrating.

I don't agree. The NFL gives second chances to all sorts of undesirable characters. Williams got what everyone else gets - a second chance.

coaches instructing players to injure need to be permanently banned........an intent to injure can end a career

The Jete certainly have problems with guys named Johnson (Woody, Chris, Trumaine) and Williams (Gregg, Quinine, etc.). Weird.

You’re conflating off-field issues with a coach teaching players to injure on the field?

Broad stroke there.
