Any suspension would be indefinite.
You really think the NFL would define “suspicion of rape......6 weeks” ?

Hes gone for the season on that alone.

The court system moves slower than Christmas.

In comparison to him not playing at all for the rest of the season. Of course I hope he doesn't receive a suspension nor gets put on the exempt.
If he raped her I hope he goes to jail. If he didn't rape her he shouldn't be suspended. Surprisingly, the NFL seems to be doing things correctly so far. Interview, get some facts, realize it is a civil case and the facts are questionable. Do nothing. If more facts come out then act.

Felonious AB reminds me of Irving Fryar but without guns and knives.

Fryar is such an interesting case.

Bad dude in his youth.

Upstanding man in his 30s.

Bad dude in his middle age.

Fraudger is an idiot but I'm thinking the & Co. is isn't going to shoot itself in the foot that badly. But hey...

Her team imposed a deadline with threats of disclosure and civil action......but AB’s team declined to play ball.

Her approach to the NFL is both an attempt to create external pressure on AB to settle and an indirect means to validate her charges without seeking criminal action.

Got to wonder why her team has been dead set against filing criminal charges.
Given she is using her name, has provided personal details, and been incredibly proactive, except for seeking criminal charges, I categorically reject any argument that paints her as too distraught to report her rape to authorities.
Her team failed at phase one... the clean cash grab.... and phase two is under way, a phase that seeks NFL validation before a civil trial.

And as far as we know, Team AB has not succumbed to her leverage tactics

AB is more consistent.

100% bad.
I’m thinking 50%
He provided a tremendous banquet for his 50 friends and guests which is good.
He didn’t pay the caterers which is bad.

50%

PS....... Caterer charged per head.
50 guests
$50,000
$1000 per head
Must have been amazing shrimp ****tail.
Did the caterer not file suit (yet?) because he would have to justify the price?

Asking for a friend

Well, let us be honest. She wants money, plain and simple. A criminal trial might help her civil case, but it won't get her any money, and from everything I have seen/read it will probably hurt her case.

Your preaching to the choir

If it looks like a cash grab
Feels like a cash grab
Stinks like a cash grab

Let’s dial up Roger, the man who flunked Ball Pressure 101

the problem with putting AB on the exempt list is when would the NFL take him off? I'ts just a civil case and it would take a year at least in court if it goes to trial.
They would take him off when the NFL investigation completes, according to the CBA language. The CBA also says being on list is supposed to be "temporary" and "limited" (and again, referencing the investigation completing).

Since there is specific CBA language saying it's supposed to be "temporary" and "limited", I wonder if being stuck on the exempt list indefinitely is something a court would be willing to rule on, since while the CBA leaves it to the commissioner to decide to put a player on ("if the commissioner reasonably suspects a crime may have occurred") and so that determination can't be challenged thanks to Brady, "temporary" and "limited" seem to be specific, somewhat objective, limiting language.

If the extent of your legal knowledge is two dictionaries, you need to look further....Not being snarky but
Let's check Federal Statues and the FBI definition..

An Updated Definition of Rape

Forcible rape” had been defined by the UCR SRS as “the carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will.” That definition, unchanged since 1927, was outdated and narrow. It only included forcible male penile penetration of a female vagina. The new definition is:

“The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.”
Violence or threat of violence is not mentioned or required....

If the extent of your legal knowledge pulling up the revised FBI definition of rape, you need to look a lot further.

Unfortunately for AB she is smarter than Crystal Gail Mangum.

I just wanted to clarify one of my earlier posts. I said that it's the misplacing of the location of the alleged rape was likely a non-issue.

Just to clarify, I said that because of the way people talk about South Florida, where "Miami", like "Boston" is about an entire region, and not just the specifically named location. But, in this case, if "Miami" was where the woman meant, and she is referring to the apartment, this case is dead already.

Brown has lost a lot of sponsors due to this woman’s allegations. I hope she doesn’t get a penny. I don’t know if this will change brown’s erratic behavior but maybe being with these guys he can pick something up.

Things aren't looking good for AB here. These accusations are deep stuff.

Deep without any evidence he did those things. If the nfl found anything incriminating this guy would be on exempt list or suspended already.

Man you weren't kidding. You really are a chicken little.

Don't care, I want the Pats to win. Tons of scumbags in the league. Big deal!
