I don't agree. Except for that blown coverage by the safeties on the OBJ touchdown, the Jets controlled a very talented Browns offense, especially in the second half. I was surprised to see that the Jets won time of possession. The Jets got to Mayfield nine times. Don't sleep on that defense.

If CJ Moseley and Quinnen Williams can play on Sunday, that defense is even better. The Jets are built like the Patriots in their front seven. Lots of versatile LBs and DLs. They lined up all over the formation and varied who dropped into coverage and who rushed. They showed a lot of sophisticated looks and kept Mayfield guessing.

Yes, the D has been a bright spot. Edge rushers aren't anything special though. Likely below average. They rely on a very good middle of the D (when Mosely plays) with some big fatties on the dline. Then creative blitz packages. Usually with Adams trying to kill the QB.

Problem is, if any QB can sniff out the blitzes, it's Brady. He'll have the ball out in 2 seconds for a 12 yard gain almost every time.

If Falk can't help keep NE's offense off the field a bit... it's gonna be a bloodbath.

Actually I think it's sort of ideal. Literally ZERO expectation of a win. Just go out there and have fun. A 6th round pick in 2018, now given at least one game, likely 2 or 3 to start... he's gotta be loving life right about now.

He looked alright. No realistic shot to win in NE, but hey... never know.

If they cover the ridiculously high point spread, I guess that would be a moral victory . . . they probably won't.

It's talented on paper and in theory. But they have looked meh in both of their games so far

The Jets got to Mayfield nine times. Don't sleep on that defense.

They sacked him 3 times. If you are talking about hits, they only had 6 and hits includes sacks, so they only got to him 6 times on 38 dropbacks and i'd bet at least half of them were on Mayfield.

They showed a lot of sophisticated looks and kept Mayfield guessing.

What an absolutely insulting thing to imply. Are you really trying to put Brady in the same category as Mayfield? Mayfield is a 2nd year player that can't read a defense.

line is -22.5 right now.

Jete D was held back by their inept O. Hope that Cannon is back this week.

That dam BB so confusing did he mean the Jets "O" have a problem or they will be a problem for our D??

Yeah. I wanted to just place a parlay on Pats and Cowboys to win and its not even an option. I guess they just don't want to hand out free money.

They'll probably cover but it's pure folly to put money on any pro team with a spread like that.

The Jets have a defense (although not cornerbacks). The Patriots were going to hold the Jets offense to few points regardless of who the QB is.

That being said, it's likely the Patriots should score in the 30s and hold the Jets to the single digits (0 is a single digit, right?) so the spread makes sense. Covering these huge spreads, though, is typically a poor bet. Betting the under on big spreads is a well-above average winner.

It's the Jets. I see Josh & Bill re-entering the EFF-YOU mode.

59-10.

:)

the o/u is currently 44. I'm trying to talk myself into taking the under.

-7000 money line?

Why? Let him rest. They don't need him this week.

.
From the interwebs. Not a week for journeymen offensive linemen unless they plan on running alot.
There were two bright spots for the Jets on Monday. Their defense, led by former Browns defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, embarrassed the Browns offensive line for much of the night and rattled Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield early and often. While the final score looked like a blowout, the game was far closer than it appeared, and the Jets defense was a bigger scoring threat than the offense for the second week in a row.

Can someone let Jamal know that if he shoots his way out of town there, he'd only catch on as a special teamer here? At best.

Bills probably will do their classic start 5-3, finish 6-10 type of season.

I think their D is for real, and could get them to 8 wins this year.
