Monitoring Wynn injury situation (Placed on IR)

At Buffalo will not be a breeze for the O-line. Heavy crowd noise plus a very capable pass rush. NE won't need to score much, but the Bills are decent on D. 5th in ppg allowed after 2 games, 6th in ypg allowed.

Well realistically he won't be back for Buffalo...but you're probably right

Let him heal up. We don't really need him until the Baltimore game...

Exactly the best case scenario happened the Pats have a really soft front end Schedule. It gets Tougher starting from Cleveland and then on we are going to face some Stout D-Lines. You can could say we have one of the Toughest Four game Schedule after the Bye-week.

I realize what you are saying. I also realize that one bad blindside hit on TB and it then would not matter when he comes back. Such an important position for the health of the Franchise. Get well soon

Scar will have to duct tape the line together for the next month or so while Cannon and Wynn heal up.

Buff isn't a joke this year.
They beat the Jete by a point and turned the ball over 4 times, and then this week beat the leading contender for worst team in football, non-Dolphins division. I'll wait a little bit before crowning them as not a joke. Look it at this way - it's possible they could be a joke and still finish 2nd in the division, that's how bad the Dolphins and potentially the Jete are shaping up to be.

Thats the only game that would remotely worry me without cannon and/or wynn until Cleveland. Its only 2 weeks away though so that may be too early. Defense can still probably carry us.

What a shame. Wynn looked promising in the 1 out of 21 possible games he was able to finish since being drafted.

The issue in the next 5 weeks isn't winning games. We'll lose one or not. The issue is keeping Brady off the ground.

Brady and Josh have been here before. We need to play a 6 man line, with a blocking TE in on every play. The alternative is Develin filling that role.

They seem to play us tough in their building

I was worried his Achilles acted up.

I agree that’s important. It kind of goes hand in hand because either way the offense will not be as high flying with a depleted OL. Defense will likely need to carry us in the competitive games till one or both tackles are back.

Regardless of how long Wynn is out, I'd love to see BB use the offseason stocking up on OL. Draft and/or FA.

Let's keep in mind that the guy who gives up 10 sacks isn't horribly worse than the guy who gives up 5. I'm not saying I'm happy about having to play TWO backup tackles, but these guys aren't non-NFL players, wither.

The biggest problem is getting them up to Scar's technique (if possible) desires and the playbook, and developing chemistry/communication with the rest of the line.

So, in a weird way, having Cannon and Wynn chipped right now will greatly help the OL down the stretch in case of another injury.

If we put in perspective that Wynn and Cannon injuries could be much worse and they'll miss an easier stretch of games, we dodged two bullets already..

I've always had the mindset that if you're going to have injuries, hope to get them early on in the year. It'll allow the backups a chance to develop and grow in the system, and if they don't, the team will learn quickly and acquire someone else in an attempt to fill the hole. If you're lucky, the starters come back and are healthy by the end of the year, and you now have an experienced backup ready to contribute in the postseason. That's pretty much what happened to the 2010 Green Bay Packers, they got their stars back at the end and were able to ride their way to the Super Bowl.

One Patriots example of this is James White. He was a healthy inactive in 13 games his entire rookie season in 2014, and had 7 receptions and 7 carries the 1st half of 2015 through the Redskins game (for which he was a healthy scratch) when Lewis tore his ACL. By the time the 2015 playoffs rolled around he became a trusted target of Brady's.
