Wynn and Cannon are week to week. Karras is playing really well, so Ferentz is not needed anymore.

Scar is no miracle worker. I am sure he saw some things he can try and fix when it comes to benenoch. The OL is basically a work in progress. Getting back cannon healthy soon will help.

The Bucs gave up 41 sacks last year, average across 5 OL would be 8.2, so he's below average....Come on Scar, coach him up.

How can you possibly look at sacks like that? How many were missed blocks by the RB? Missed chips by the TE (which is why tackles probably get nailed for more sacks than interior)?

Or how many of them were on Winston being a sh**ty QB that doesn't get the ball out because he doesn't go through reads and locks on to guys.

Last year Winston was in the bottom 1/3rd in time to throw and 2nd in intended air yards.

IE- He hangs onto the ball and looks for plays down the field.

More often than not, that will result in sacks.

Haven't really watched Benenoch play but his QB sure isn't helping make his job easier.

In general a good DE will get more sacks than a good DT. Therefore one would tend to expect OT to give up more sacks than G/C.

They've been looking high and low to nail down the swing tackle position for months. The attempts that come to mind:

- Drafted Yodny Cajuste
- Signed Jared Veldheer
- Traded for Korey Cunningham
- Signed Marshall Newhouse
- Signed Caleb Benenoch

So naturally, the team's first two major injuries to start the season have to be to the two tackles. It looks like T is just that position this year. At least we're not at Earthwind Moreland level yet.

Pro Football Reference lists him as playing Right Guard for 2018, but for many of the games he did play tackle, usually in heavy packages as their two starting tackles appear to have played every down for the games I looked at. Granted I took a simplistic view of sacks per position, but he still gave up 25% of the sacks for the Bucs in 2018.

Running QBs are sacked more.

Brady will just unload the ball and throw away that play. Mike Vick types always think that a play is there and have run in their head as plan b.

Ignoring inactive backups, we need 3 OT's on Game Day, two starters and a swing backup. We have just added a 3rd POSSIBLE OT.

As of now, three off the street players will be active this week: Cunningham, Newhouse and Benanock.

When Cannon is active, ONLY two of the above will be active.

In addition, our Game Day backup at OG and C is Ferentz or Eluemuner.

The BOTTOM LINE for me is that we need to keep Brady uninjured while Dante completes his task of deciding and developing OL over the next few weeks.

Most of us are fine with ???, Thuney, Karras, Mason, Cannon. But even that is pretty dangerous. Against any good DL, this will require a blocking TE chipping (helping the LT) on almost every play.

The above scenario presumes that we have a starting LT among the bunch. We still need a swing backup also.

In addition, we need a game Day backup at both OG and C.

That's a lot to find and develop: 2 OT's and a C/G.

The former Buccaneer has played in 35 career games, which have included 22 starts. Last year he started all 16 games at right guard.
