Jacoby Brissett: 14 TD - 3 Int through 5 games (updated)

From what I read over on the Colts messageboard they have a very lukewarm opinion of Brissett despite a 3 TD game. They seem to think he is a game manager and little more which is largely the impression I’ve always had of him.

I never expected him to be more than a solid backup. Regardless I’m happy for him making some money and being a respectable game manager.

Jacoby was shutout by the Bills "in the Patriots' system."

When Brady came back, the team ripped through the league and won the Super Bowl.

Only Brady could win "in this system."

I thought he played with a broken thumb that game.

You're right. Perhaps that started with me, perhaps it started when I kept being insulted and doubled down. At first I wanted to disagree, but I will look to figure out ways to be more open-minded.
I read the entire AB thread and the sexual assault thread. It seemed to me quite a few people didn’t want AB. I didn’t really notice many people being attacked about it, disagreed with perhaps. I personally got annoyed with the we are too good and don’t need him comments but I digress.

I usually pay attention to old Patriot players and hope they do ok in passing, but really, I root for the patriots players and once they leave they no longer interest me much.

The crazy part : Indy fans will blindly say “he’s no Luck” when in fact he might very well BE Luck. A decent nfl QB who is unable to get the team to the SB.

Relax. I have yet to meet or read any poster here claiming that the Pats were winning any SBs that year if Brady has stayed away the whole time.

My Gawd - Brady insecurity complex is not healthy. Just because people are happy for Brissett finding some sort of at least temporary success in the NFL isn’t a threat to Toms legacy. It’s gonna be ok. Really.

Any poster here? No, not here.

People constantly reference that 3-1 start. I hear it all the time.

It's called sarcasm. Jacoby and Jimmy G. were not the long-term answers and we all know that.

We do not know that, BB and his crew find ways to guys like this to play well in our system so they can play to their strengths.. having consistent coaching philosophy on the O side of the ball is not often seen in the NFL.. read in another thread where Josh Rosen has had 3 different OC's in his brief career.. that is not a good way to develop a QB...

Always thought that Brissett was a pretty good QB and might have been heir apparent to #12...

I cheer for an 8-8 colts team every year.
Why would we want them to lose? So they can (tank) get another franchise QB?
No, Sir.
Yep, they deserve 40 years of oblivion for Sucking for Luck.. Scumbag loser franchise.

I'm happy for brissett. And this was one of those rare trades that worked out for everyone.

We have Dorsett whom is showing to be a valuable piece and a trusted target for brady

I want to see the QB Alumni Association doing well. It reflects well on the current team and the current backup QB's future if the previous generation turn out to be good NFL starting QBs.

I was joking. People frequently make the reverse argument (by the way, I have no idea how getting shutout is an argument against Brady).
It isn't, but the backups did go 3-1 and only lost the 1 because they were literally out of healthy quarterbacks.

I wouldn't be so sure about that last bit. Remember, "merely good" QBs have won the whole enchilada before.

I mean no, he's not getting through Brady this year, only because I don't think anybody is, but never say never.

Glad to see my man Bisquick do well. Yes even as a Clot. Hated to see him go but so glad for Dorsette

Where is @Ice_Ice_Brady on this. Jacoby should be 2-0 if not for AV. Take back your trashing him receiving a raise. ;)

Weren’t they a playoff team two years before Peyton Manning was drafted #1?
I think the tanking thing comes naturally

Good to see you repenting.

Rejoice in the light, brother.
Dorsett has been fine here. Brissett has been fine there.

Win-Win

OT: Can we talk about how Jacoby Brissett been playing real good for the Dolts these 1st 2 weeks

He's been balling lately and I'm surprised at how quick he filled the void of Luck.

Dolts should've won last week, but their defense, when they needed it the most, choked.
