Antonio Brown

Fair enough.

Also not to belabor the point but your stance also means that Big Ben wouldn’t have been suspended. You’re probably ok with that since you’re pretty consistent about this stuff but plenty of people on here think he should have been but think Brown should play, which is having it both ways.

This woman’s story is a lot different than Big Ben. A lot of inconsistencies going back to wanting 1.6 million for a business venture.

Social pressure, and yes it's easier since it is the much hated Pats.

Where was the social pressure for child abuse which is a problem in this country? Listen brown’s behavior is ridiculous but these are accusations just like the hill situation.

Well if the point is that we shouldn’t suspend anyone if no criminal charges are filed then AB and Big Ben are in the same situation.

I think it’s pretty clear Antonio is not the greatest dude. But the si article is a hatchet job. He farted in a doctors face? He “barely” covered himself with a towel while being painted in the nude. These are not real accusations... this is a “reporter” desperately digging for a story to confirm a pre established narrative.

Edit Correction: My post is incorrect he was not being painted in the nude. He Is being accused of sneaking up on her nude with a towel around his wiener while she was painting his mural. He is still be accused of farting in a doctors face and not paying a catering bill.

So you think the NFL is going to investigate this and walk away doing nothing? They would get crucified. I think they will put him on the list, simply because it has less of a down side than doing nothing. It would suck, and I hope I'm wrong.
At least that keeps him off the Chiefs.

I don't think one has anything to do with the other. That's just paranoia.
I don't think it does either, other than the similarity of the me too stuff. And the fact that the press seems to think this stuff sells.

Brown has always said it was consensual. There’s a video out as well. Wasn’t big ben like a casual encounter with someone? These two knew each other for awhile. She already said a lie in her lawsuit.

I mean it does sell. Look how many individual threads/pages of threads are dedicated to it in this forum alone.

I personally do not think that it's a bad thing to have this type of stuff out there. However, we should still reserve final judgment until more information comes to light. I will say this. Based on all of the other stuff surrounding Brown, he doesn't seem like that great a guy. That's not saying he actually committed these acts though.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I just think Gotohell is untrustworthy and can get away with whatever he wants. Again, I hope he doesn't get placed on the list based on a civil suit, but would not be surprised if he does. I saw him live on Sunday, and he's exciting to watch. I'm one that never thought he would join the team, but now that we have him, I would like to keep him. If we lose him, so be it.

Doesn't seem you're in much of a position to critique the article and its author since you apparently didn't read the article, or at least didn't read it carefully.

Brown wasn't being painted in the nude; the woman was painting a mural unrelated to Brown's nude body.

I personally don’t believe anyone should be suspended for personal conduct. Leave it to the cops.

If he's placed in commissioner list.. how much cap is gained back
None, since being placed on the commissioner’s list during investigation is a paid suspension.

I stand corrected. He snuck up behind her as she was painting his mural nude with a towel around his wiener and he farted in a doctors face.

Bill Plashke is killing AB. The same guy who worships Kobe Bryant

So you’re running a business and you have an employee who does some Brown-like stuff and it goes public. Your biggest client says “cut ties with him or we’re pulling our account and going to your competitor”. Still gonna say “leave it to the cops” and take no action against him?

Has Brown been denied due process at any point throughout this situation?

For all the hand-wringing here about a lack of due process, it sure seems that Brown is being afforded full and complete due process, by both the league and the justice system.

He hasn't been suspended or exempted by the league, the civil suit is in the process of being litigated, and Brown maintains his personal and professional freedom.

Where is the lack of due process?

People seem to be conflating public opinion with a lack of due process in the justice system or the workplace. The public is (and always has been) free to draw whatever conclusions they please.
My comment was in response to the hand-wringers on here calling for him to be cut, stating Goodell will place him on the list, etc. Those people are effectively calling for due process to be thrown out.

I watched the farting video and don't make much of it. Seems like nothing to me. The fact that he might have stiffed the doctor with regard to payment shows me a lot more.

With regard to the painter. I think it is very inappropriate to approach a woman almost completely nude, even if it was in his house (this is assuming the account is true). While there may not have been any crime committed, I don't think it's right. Can you imagine being hired as a woman to do work in an athlete's private home and then having the athlete, who is in tip-top athletic shape appear close to naked behind you for no other reason than to make a move. Could be pretty scary.

Saying that Goodell is a jerk who is going to look for any reason to suspend Brown and will probably do so says zilch about what they think about due process.

So why don’t you tell us the names of posters who want Goodell to suspend Brown?

None, since being placed on the commissioner’s list during investigation is a paid suspension.
so it really only hurts the team..which is why Goodell will do it

It absolutely isn’t right. But why tell a magazine reporter? I think it’s pretty fair to say if someone wrongs you please don’t tell a magazine reporter and file a civil lawsuit first. Tell the police. That’s how due process works. Then I am ok with you talking to whoever you want or suing someone. Otherwise it’s just he said she said and impossible to navigate what really happened.
