I mentioned this last week after his game 1 presser and it just is obvious from his game 2 presser that it is not a fluke.

Last year, his postgame pressers were hard to watch - - the carefully enforced 3 question limit - - it was obvious the Pats were concerned about how much he could handle. And he was stilted and nervous up there.

It's incredible to watch how he is five times more comfortable in his skin these days. It's a great thing to see for the kid. Just on a human level, it is nice to see him like this these days. Good on the Patriots organization for helping him. Nothing is guaranteed, but color me impressed!!!

The Patriots have invested in him and he has invested in himself.

The results speak for themselves.

Lets hope he continues to keep his end of the bargain.

That's what switching to White Claws will do for you.

I had a white claw for the first time last weekend to see what the hype was about but also got sick from a virus my two year old contracted so now I associate those two things. I’ll never touch that stuff again. It also was weird and not that good anyway.

I am actually stunned by how well spoken, how thoughtful, how emotionally generous and open he is. It is now clear why everyone roots for him, including the he-who-shall-not-be-named head of the league. There are some guys for whom you just say, what a beautiful soul. Josh Gordon is one of them, and that he yet struggles with personal demons should remind us to be compassionate and not judge others until we've walked in their shoes, or cleats, or whatever....

I was about to open a thread on this subject as well.

This time it seems different, I felt sorry for him not being there playing in the SB and I think for him it was rock bottom and maybe a turning point. He was impressive in his press conference against the Steelers, even some guys in the press I think Kellerman mentioned he seems engaged on staying clean this time.

That was one of the reasons I didn't like signing a punk like Antonio Brown even if it was for the good of the team. First because it will take balls away from Gordon and I wanted him to have a outstanding season to cash out later, but most importantly for not risking some friction that could put bad thoughts on his mind. It seems so far things are going pretty well.

I wonder if at the end of the season for the first time BB will have some emotional component going into the negotiation table. If Gordon found a home in New England and feels good about being here, signing a massive contract elsewhere for a guy like him it can be a disaster. Money in the pocket and bad environment, for an addict, everyone knows what happens, and there are lots of bad environments in this league.

Definitely a good story.

His troubles started as a very anxious very young man.

He has benefited from treatment, counseling, character coaches, or chaplains.

I would hope for a major extension (at least $10M per year for at least 3 years) in the bye or right after the SB. There could be guarantees due at the beginning of each year, which could be voided by conduct unbecoming.

needs to snag a few more balls tho, no?

Her isn't getting an extension now. By the time of the bye, we should have lots more information. I would hope to extend Dorsett and Gordon to add to Edelman and Harry who we have signed for 2020. If Meyers stays on the 53, he would be there also (or Brown :) ).

I noticed when he came out of the tunnel for game 1, he took a knee with a few other players.. Staying sober ain't easy. It requires a really strong commitment to self and others. That strong commitment to self often takes the form of substituting one bad thing for another good thing, religion, self help, helping others etc.

we like what we see but don't know. Pats playing in the turlet lately may get bit on the arse..

I am so happy for this kid. That was music to my ears.

Brady can't throw two balls at a time. This offense is stacked. It's not Fantasy Football. Brady threw to him 1/2 as many times as he threw to AB. He came out with a great attitude about it in his presser. Let's see AB do that someday. Hopefully AB grows as a human being as much as Josh Gordon has in his time with the Pats.
