Is it too much to ask AB to go 48 hours without being in the news lol?

pattern of not paying people is well documented in that article..or do some think all these people, male and female are just out to get AB?

Before this you thought he was a gentleman?

It's a pattern of poor decision making with this guy. The fact he covered himself with a cloth with his rear end exposed does not comfort me one bit.

AB is nothing but bad drama.

And yet here I am still believing that with the leadership that’s in place AB is going to fall in line, do his job and make us a better football team.

AB is nothing but bad drama.

He's a helluva football player but he's clearly not a bastion for ethical and moral conduct.

And you don't even need the sexual assault/harassment allegations to conclude that. His conduct in OAK was pretty lousy, even if it worked to our advantage.

That story is mainly about AB welching on a bunch of verbal agreements with several service people. So the guy is cheap. Where was this story when he was in Pittsburgh?

The incident with the painter, where she says she saw him with many women in a couple of days, that he was flirty and didn't feel threatened because she had been through this before in her job, so she handled it professionally and kept on painting. He didn't get the reaction he was hoping for and moved on. There was no assault.

I see a very poor kid that struggled during his youth, homeless at times, making it big, that has social issues. He's childish and narcissist. Farting in Drs. face is funny and childish.

If you look into every single NFL players life, I'm sure you will find something, but these stories don't really bother me that much.

Also, there’s plenty of stuff in that SI piece directly sourced from police reports and court documents that show what a pretty questionable guy Brown is.

There is also 2 sides to every story.

Brown’s life went off the rails last year, or maybe the last few years. He was blowing up at reporters, throwing furniture out windows, pouting on the sidelines, etc. Let’s get this suspension done and get him back for the second half of the season. Hope he gets his life back on track; money does not seem to help with his personal issues and probably makes them worse.

Unless I'm missing something, she isn't accusing him of sexual assault. She is accusing him of having a conversation with her butt ass naked with a cloth over his wang. Sexual misconduct, not assault. Pretty big difference.

Sounds like he most likely made a move on her, didn't get the response he wanted, and moved on. She doesn't seem to be accusing him of actually assaulting her. Bad title for the thread.

Why not just suspend him after an investigation? Whats the point of the exempt list?

If he were playing on the Steelers still or say, the Ravens, Chiefs, Jets etc., this board would be absolutely crushing him right now....

It's not sexual assault but it is sexual misconduct / harassment and weird behavior (allegedly). She is not saying that he even touched her.

Klemko shares the story of a female painter whom Brown hired to create a mural at Brown’s house.

The unnamed woman claims that, on the second day of the job, the arrangement took a turn.

“I’m on my knees painting the [mural], and he walks up to me butt-ass naked, with a hand cloth covering his [penis] and starts having a conversation with me,” the woman told Klemko. “Unfortunately, I’ve been tried [by men] a lot of times, so I just kept my cool and kept painting. After that, it all ended abruptly.”

There are a lot claims of him squelching on contractors. If that's true, were they suing him? You can take someone to small claims court without racking up legal fees.

While he may be guilty of that, I also don't find it doubtful that contractors would try to overcharge a rich, dumb, athlete who is throwing his money around.

Edit: apparently, there are a lot of people suing him

Exempt list is used while an investigation is taking place, though the NFL hasn’t put him on the list yet. He may be on it as soon as later today or tomorrow if they conclude from talking to Taylor that there is some undefined level of confidence that misconduct occurred. The NFL has already painted themselves into a corner because it’s going to be a terrible Pr look if they talk to her and essentially decide she is lying.

I’m sure we would, that’s the hypocrisy of sports fandom for you. As it stands, unless he committed a crime and there is substantial evidence I want him on the field. He’s a lousy person, certainly, but there are a lot of bad guys in the league and we’ve had them before. I’m not losing sleep over it.

For those claiming this is another money-seeker, the muralist making the accusation isn't suing him or anything. The pattern of behavior you see in the SI article is a guy who's totally and completely nuts. Not just mad with power or fame but totally nuts. You wonder about CTE like with Hernandez; the bizarre self-destructive patterns of behavior are similar, even if Brown hasn't become violent (that we know of).

He came from a weird family situation too... I know about it because he was a year behind me in elementary school before his mom left his dad (the greatest Arena League player ever) and moved to Miami.

But whatever, not my friend, good at football. I don't see any need to defend the guy or levy accusations at his accusers. I just hope the Patriots get a full year out of him.

I ask the board as a whole: if that was your daughter painting and Brown shows up wearing nothing but a hand-towel over his junk and strikes up a conversation, how would you feel about the situation? Just some food for thought.

If he actually did this, then it is (in our social context) a sexually aggressive act. In some other countries and cultures, it wouldn't be interpreted that way.

I think with my daughter it would depend on how aggressive his non-verbals and spoken word were. There's an intuitive creepiness meter that women have in similar situation.

If she didn't feel threatened, she would have turned around, told him to put some ### pants on, and to let her do her work. She would have finished up, sent him a bill, and never talked to him again. She would have shared her story with her contractor colleagues.

And if it felt threatening in the moment, she would have left immediately, sent someone male over to get her tools and equipment, with a bill for the full job, and a written threat to pursue him in court if he didn't pay up.

Either way, she would have managed through it. I know that not all women have that much assertiveness in the moment.

Until I see proof, it's just accusations.

Hmmmm.

Someone needs to change the thread title, since this is NOT an allegation of sexual assault. She is not saying that he touched her or that he even exposed himself completely.

Term it sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, or just weird behavior, but it is NOT sexual assault.

I am not minimizing the allegation, but proper descriptors are important.
