See above. I'm telling you guys, the NFL* raises the bar for the Pats.
We shall see. They gave that girlfriend beater a pass.

What's also impressive is that we won the time of possession by 13 minutes even with the two pick sixes. The combination of a stingy defense that neither bends nor breaks along with a balanced offense will be lethal for many other teams.
Even if we don't always capitalize with touchdowns, this team has the opportunity to dominate in time of possession if we stay balanced with running/passing. In 2007, we were 2nd best with time of possession with 32:27. If we can manage 33-34 minutes a game, we'll be in great shape as long as the other team isn't making quick strikes against us.
In the pass happy NFL, many bemoan the time of possession as meaningless since it doesn't account for big plays. However, when you have big play potential like the Patriots and still control the clock, it should indicate you are decimating the opponent.
I almost don’t want to count this game but the fact is that they did haul in four INTs, two pick sixes and multiple sacks. It wasn’t like they just held them to a low score and that was all. They were out there making plays. Granted late in the game there was a few deep garbage time throws that were straight up dropped. Something to improve on.1. Yes not the greatest teams faced, but the point differential of +73 through 2 games rivals the 2007 team which had an avg point differential of 20 per game.
2. The defense may be Belichick's best ever and that's saying something given his Giants or 03-04 Patriot teams. The defense with two straight pick-6 TD scores, I can't remember the last time that even happened.
.
The defense has been phenomenal since last year at Chicago with the exception of the Miami game and the 2nd half in the AFC Championship. If anything scares me, it is that Mahomes was that good against our otherwise stout defense and he only has room to grow. It is a good feeling that our offense improved, just in case this defense gives up more than 3.Defense hasn’t allowed a TD in its last 3 games that count. It’s allowed 10 total points in the first half of its last 7 games that count (3 against the Jete, 7 against the Chargers).
Do people feel like the defense has shown any weaknesses? I'm waiting for a team to have a specific type of system do damage to this unit, much like that infamous "wildcat" game that Miami pulled out years ago. It'd be nice to figure out what we don't do well early in the season (but still win!) rather than get taken by surprise unexpectedly in the playoffs.I almost don’t want to count this game but the fact is that they did haul in four INTs, two pick sixes and multiple sacks. The defense looks tremendous, but we need to face tougher competition first to start considering it one of Belichick’s best ever.

Well, they’re on pace to allow 24 points this season, so that should help the point differential.I don't expect the team to score more points than 2007 due to protecting Brady and running the ball a lot more, but can see this team surpassing in total point differential.

I am expecting a suspension but I can't see a full season. Roethlisberger got 6 - reduced to 4 - and he actually had some real evidence against him.

I hear what you are saying and yes, the LOLfins are abysmal but they did shut out an NFL team and made them look feeble in the processs. As of right now, I don't see anyone posing a serious challenge to this defense other than KC (RIP Cam Newton who looks like a dead man walking out there). Mahomes is playing like a literal Greek hero, and while Tyreek Hill is a POS, his speed is arguably the most game-breaking attribute in the NFL right now. Add in Travis Kelce and LeSean McCoy/Damien Williams, I'm not sure how our defense can contain that.
