We aren’t the Jets or the Colts, and why should I check them out? My concern is the patriots and only the patriots.

Because it would show the ignorance of your over-reaction.

Bad hold on the FG.
Bad hold on the 2nd XP miss.

Gostkowski has always had issues in Miami.

But yes. Let's say F'in and throw him away just to please your ignorance.

You'll never get the contrarians to admit they're wrong. They will double down.

And who knows who's wrong.

It only speculation and opinion, at this point.
But God forbid you have an opinion that differs.

Ghost was not good today. And has been sketchy lately. That's for sure .
If you can't admit that, ...well good luck.

I'll take my lumps, but I think its time to make some kind of change.

You're a joke. You ignore facts and you call everyone else the contrarians?

Having a "differing opinion" is all well and good if you can actually support your position with FACTS. You've yet to do so. You spewing garbage.

Please go away until you learn the game because your ignorance is disgusting.

Bad hold on the FG and you blame Gost.
Bad hold on the 2nd XP and you blame Gost.

What you think doesn't matter because you can't be bothered with facts. BTW, great job showing everyone how much of a whinner you truly are.. You couldn't hack being called out in the game thread for this BS and you can't hack it now.

Gostkowski's last 10 games, games 12-16 last year, 3 playoff games and 2 games this year
FG 25/28
XP 23/27
I think people panicked because of the preseason misses............

Dude. You're like a hemorrhoid.

GO the F away.
Really.

Can we just agree that we disagree, and never respond to each other again?.

I'll be real happy with that. How about you?

You've made your point on my opinion.

Not comfortable with a game potentially riding on his right foot. But again, he isn't getting cut. No way no how.

I don't have the ability to post any links right now, but if you look at the news feed at the top of the page you will see that Gostkowski agrees with me.

Some bad holds and ghost had a bad game in Miami where he is not usually that great.

New holder. I get it. He was fine in preseason

People forget though that Gost kicking and missing some is the nature of the beast . All kickers miss. We were so spoiled by the HOF level kicking of Gost that when he came back to earth as was good it’s not good enough for many here who think Gost’s GOOD is somehow replaceable with HOF performance. Which it is not

Gost hasn’t missed a lot lately he has just missed more than he used to That doesn’t mean he is a bad kicker. Just back to earth a bit

I do t have a problem with competition but don’t just get rid of him as this is fixable

Says the guy whining on a regular basis and not actually bringing anything of value.

Why don't you go away so the board doesn't have to put up with your incessant whining that isn't supported by fact?

Better yet. Why don't you educate yourself on what really happened in the game so you stop blaming players for things that weren't in their control. Or is that too much to ask??

ROFLMAO..

You think that Gostkowski not throwing the holder under the bus means he's agreeing with you? WOW.

Could you please provide a link to ANY Patriots player in the last 20 years blaming a teammate for something? I'm sure we'd ALL be interested in seeing that.

Here is what Gostkowski said:
Stephen Gostkowski critical of his 'pretty terrible' play vs. Dolphins

"“Every year has different challenges and different ways you feel,” he said, via the Herald. “You do the best you can with what you’ve got. And this hasn’t been the best start, but I’m not going to throw in the towel”"

That's about as close as you will ever get to a Patriots player saying someone else screwed up..

Tom Brady has called some of his own performances over the years "pretty terrible." It just sucks we didn't cut bait when we had the chance........

BB was livid at the presser. It wasn’t all about the FG unit

Those who did not pick up the game until after Vinatieri appeared really don't know what a bad kicking game looks like. There were definitely some miserable special teams years in the 80s and 90s. None of this is even close to bad (and if you actually believe a change is needed, find the better option out there - you won't).

The holder is not a small thing. Even if Gost acknowledges a bad game (didn't hear his press conference), then he is likely acknowledging he should have adjusted (rather than calling out the holder). He ain't perfect, but he is a long way from bad and is the best option available as far as I know (or BB would have dumped him already).

Relax, Ghost was just trying to win some chips to go with the fish we ate this afternoon.

There is only so much you can adjust for on a bad snap.

With that one divot that got torn up, one has to wonder how good the rest of the field was and whether or not that played into the situation with Gost's kicks

I don’t get the references to other poor Ks.

So what?

Because other Ks are struggling we should excuse Gost’s misses?

Because the guys on the street are worse than the guys who suck league-wide

What free agent is better than Gostkowski? Even if he’s declining or struggling (very debatable), there simply aren’t many kickers in the league (let alone unemployed) who you want to kick in a big game or in bad weather.

If you’re convinced they can upgrade, suggest some names as well as reasons why those guys are better options - especially in big spots or cold/wet weather

So who are fine with then, if not the 89% playoff kicker ?

Is Ryan Allen still available, and if he is, can he learn to place-kick?

Damn you have every excuse in the book lined up for him. What the hell does playing in Miami have to do with making a kick?

I’m sure fans will be thrilled if they hold a competition and replace Ghost with Younghoe Koo or the Bears double doink guy. That’d fix everything.

I’d bet the Pats draft a kicker next year with one of their twenty draft picks.

I have a theory that your chances of winning a Super Bowl are inversely proportional to the size of the problems your fanbase will insult each other over. I'll call it Sicilian's Law.

People getting at each other's throats over a place kicker has to mean our odds are pretty good this year.
