NFL Week 2 Games

Goff looks like trash so far this game. LOL
As much of a fan I am of Goff, I wouldn’t feel good bringing him into Philly in the winter.

You have to think teams will catch on to this eventually. Right?
They have. Many are not good enough to do anything about it. Look at Mahomes’ stats as the season wore on last year.

You stop him by beating him, which we did. This ain't rocket science.

Besides, the Patriots defense is like an order of magnitude better this year than they were last year. I don't see anything but a flailing Raiders defense, which is nothing new.
Every time Mahomes had the ball in the second half, he matched us.

We outdueled him. Stopping him would mean we didn’t allow him to score.

You need to score to beat KC. Period. You also need to play some level of defense.

Hold them in the 20s or low 30s. Score 30 or more. That's the formula.

Even in the games they lost, they still lost those games 40-43, 51-54, 28-29 and 31-38.

No one has been able to have a dominating victory over him yet. Every game has been a nail biter aside from maybe the Seattle game last year.

He makes his gaffes, but then makes up for it by striking 3 straight TD’s without blinking.

This is football-- our 53 vs their 53. Mahomes didn't win the Super Bowl, we did, and he didn't win it because we beat them. Them being the Chiefs.

You're playing the "we have to stop the big gun" in order to win game. That's not how you play football. I understand why your mindset is what it is-- the media has done a great job of making this game quarterbacks vs quarterbacks, but there are 52 other guys on the team, and if you can take away or beat those other guys that's how you beat the big gun-- take away its ammunition.

In the two matchups vs this team, we've had them beat with a less than stellar defense, and it wasn't until we stepped off the gas that they caught up. That won't happen this year. We're a bush league field goal from Tomlin away from pitching back to back shut outs.

We're going to embarrass Kansas City week 8.

EDIT: that should read Week 13 but you get what I'm saying.

well so much for thinking the Raiders could win !

People will be loving LJ as the BAL qb. But beating MIA & ARI doesn’t impress me much.

Next week between KC and Balt should be interesting. KC should win because they are at home but I think Baltimore can give them a good game.

I don’t. I hope you are right though.

If Brees is out, then that's the end of the Saints season...Bridgewater is not the answer

Saints would even make the playoffs with Bridgewater and then it becomes a question of how long that injury keeps Brees out.

I really thought this Saints/Rams game would have fireworks after what happened in the NFCCG, but this game is sooo boring!

Can't decide whats worse. The KC hype if they go 3-0 and crush the Ravens or the people who will start ****ting themselves once again calling the Ravens "scary" about an opponent who has not beaten us in 6.5 years.

There's three players in the league that I absolutely salivate over and would be willing to risk destroying the cap if we could have them (not really lol): Aaron Donald, Alvin Kamara and DeAndre Hopkins I'm watching Kamara now and he's amazing. It's a privilege to watch those three non-Patriots.

Bridgewater is pretty good, but have never seen this star potential people claim he has.

We were better. But we still didn’t stop him.

40 points and 31 points. We did it for a half, which is better than what most teams can say.
Out score him; like we did twice last year. That’s part of the reason I believe AB was acquired. We needed a dynamic player to offset the loss of Gronk. Even though he was “prime Gronk” last season, he still dictated coverage. Now, AB will assume that role (without the elite blocking). Gonna have to go toe to toe with KC at some point in the playoffs.

So do the Rams make the playoffs or SB this year, or do they go the way of all the other teams that NE beats in big games and totally demoralizes? I thought about making this a thread, but nah.

Wow, Saints get screwed again. That's an obvious fumble and would have been a returned TD. Any time a play like that is close the ref should err on the side of caution and let it play out because now it'll be overturned as a fumble but it takes away 7 points for the Saints.
