In retrospect the Miami Miracle is the best thing that could have happened. BB is gonna ride this **** for a while to make the team focus.

Some people are still going to criticize it, but I can totally see how that justifies what BB did. That loss was embarrassing and could have cost them a SB since that's really how they for sure lost HFA. One or two things happen differently in KC, and they're perhaps the defending champs right now.

I forgot he’s still in the league.
I’m rooting for him. He had a promising career ahead of him until that injury.

I won't lie, I did think last season was Flores, and I'm sure he played his part. But it's clear that the D has a completely new identity now and BB is knows he has the athletes to be more aggressive and use those confusing schemes.
Flores was latest clipboard holder after Patricia....BB is the kingpin....and so far doesn’t seem like he is sharing too many secrets because they all fail

Dabruinz, what do you think Washington would want for Williams? Not sure if we'd be able to afford him.

Honestly, they'd probably want at least a 3rd round pick. The problem with getting Williams, besides the money, is that it's unlikely he'd want to be relegated to the Swing Tackle position if/when Cannon and Wynn are healthy.

As for money, only way they could swing it is to do an extension for him and for DMAC.. Something that would lessen Williams' cap hit this year and free up other space..

Gost leaving 5 points on the field and TB missing AB in the end zone are really the only negatives I can take away from this. It was a really solid game by us
Gost struggles for past several years is worrisome....especially when it comes down to a “vinateri” kick to win a SB....he is very shaky and lucky BB is his coach ....any other coach would probably have cut him by now.....BB even worked around him in playoff games and SB games because of concerns he wouldn’t make kicks...who does that?!

Guy made a SB clinching FG a few months back. You can't have any more pressure than that so give me a break with this "not reliable" ********.

He has to deal with a new holder who screwed up at least one of the XPs today. But that might not fit your agenda.

Not to mention that Gostkowski has always had issues kicking in Miami.. One of the few tidbits that Eagle mentioned today..

Pats D has scored more points than our last 3 opponents combined. 12-6

I forgot he’s still in the league.
It never made sense to me why the Vikings dropped him. Seemed to be progressing well before his injury. Now they get Cousins for half a year's cap in guaranteed money.

did phil dorsett come back after getting banged up a bit?

Ghost something to keep eye on

hopefully Wynn is ok, remind me what ended up happening to Andrews? IR w/ possibility to return?

our punt coverage needs work, one guy would get to gunner every time way faster than anyone else on the phins, single handidly stopped 50+ punt return yards

brees hurt thumb...may be out a few weeks...sucks for saints...completely shakes up NFC

we will see if sony get's punished for fumble

BRADY was in game too long...simple as that, if something happened to him it would have been a huge story, you don't gamble brady, simple as that

- Dorsett - Returned
- Ghost has always had issues in Miami. Not to mention a new holder.
- Andrews is done for the year. He's not returning.
- HUH? The Pats punt coverage was excellent.. The long return I saw was 35 yards on a Kick Return that some players pulled up on because it looked like he was going to down it initially..
- Sony was benched for the rest of the game. Unlikely to see him "punished" further. Not to mention it was a good play by Fitzpatrick.

He wouldn’t be relegated to swing tackle if/when those two return. Even if both of them are back, Wynn is likely to be on the bench until Cannon gets hurt again and then they’d just slide him in at RT.

Maybe you're right, but I think it would hurt Wynn's progression, honestly. Especially after missing last year.

It still blows my mind that the last batch of renovations at Hard Rock keep the Dolphins in the shade while the away team is in the sun. Can you imagine the outrage if that was done at Gillette?

Yep. The injury does that by itself. Can’t miss your entire rookie season and any substantial portion of your second season without your career being in extreme jeopardy. Hopefully it’s not long-term and we don’t even need to worry about trading for Williams. If we do, he’s the best tackle on the team. He’ll start before Wynn or Cannon.

OL is my only Real concern now...

But 76-3 is huge...

It is hard to have many thoughts on this game. Pretty cut and dry.

On the defensive side of the ball it's hard to find a unit or player to complain about. They did have a few lucky drops on deep passes late in the game to preserve the shut out. I think one was Gilmore and the other was Jackson? Could be wrong. Besides those plays I don't think anything really stood out as bad.

I don't think a single player had a bad game on defense. I'm glad Chung was able to come back in. If I had to pick my defensive stand outs I think I'd go Collins, Shelton (he is off to a great start), Bennett, Butler, Van Noy, Jones, Gilmore (even though he gave up that TD that the WR dropped it is hard to say his day wasn't great). I could name other players but those are the first names that came to mind.

On offense it was actually fairly messy considering how one sided it was. Brady focused on Brown too much at times but overall had a decent game. Below his usual level of play but still very good for nearly any other QB. I think he should have gone to Edelman more. Mason is still having issues, but they will be worked out i'm sure. The OL as a whole looked pretty good considering that situation. Some play calls were questionable. Running on 3rd and 5 early on was a head scratcher. Once things settle down they will be really good. Considering in a game like this where they scored 30 offensive points and didn't play their best (should have been 35) it speaks to their potential.

Karras looked a lot better today. I don't think we will miss Andrews too much. I'd rather have him over Karras but he was already much smoother with his snaps this game and his blocking has been good. Burkhead hasn't looked this good in a LONG time. Michel ran much more decisively and with more power than last week.

Gunner with another good game as a returner. When it comes to Gost nothing needs to be said. Bailey had a clean game as far as his punting.

Very toasty at the game...glad I got seats on the shady side. One thing I noticed at the game that may not have been visible from TV was IMO the lack of respect for O'Shea the players seem to have. He was barking out some plays and several times they didn't seem to care. He doesn't inspire...or anything. Another thing I noticed...the Cheerleaders....they were excellent.

Oh yeah...my comments about their Oline before the game...what a disaster.

I am in awe every week about how good this D looks, especially from the SB till now.... it is such a pleasure to watch them.
Till last year we had not had a pick 6 in a few years, then we got one towards the end of last year and today we got 2 !!
As long as we stay relatively injury free we should be able to do really well this year.
My only gripe is that when we are up 4 scores into the 4th, Brady should not be in the game !
What is the over/under for the Pats' margin before Stidham gets meaningful snaps?
