Antonio Brown

Me thinks this woman told AB: Give me 2 million bucks or else I'll go ahead with the lawsuit. And AB isn't budging because he's innocent (Again he's saying he's innocent).

I am really starting to have serious doubts about this woman's character. From what I've seen thus far (Again I admit I am not privy to all the facts), there is nothing here. Zero.

It is. She wanted to steal 2 million with that settlement. Was not going to fly with Brown.
Is that a fact?
Only asking because I never saw any article stating that.

Not doubting you

Yeah I’m sure Antonio Brown isn’t going broke anytime soon.

If he was guilty he would’ve paid it. He’s not and he has no interest to give money to a liar defaming him.
There is a large difference between it will make you go broke and it’s chump change.

Wait. What?

Dillon has had personal problems not uncommon with people with similar backgrounds.

He had an unusual respect for the game, and he also cared about winning more than most - a big reason he came here.

He was treated like sh*t by local media, which is what they do, in 2005 when he didn't have another historically dominant season, and that he responded slightly less positively than Pete Carroll to it only indicates that he's a normal person.
He had a domestic assault as a Bengal then once since he retired as well as multiple DWI's. On top of that he was a jerk to the media which is why he was treated poorly.

Actually, believe it or not, they can. They can use a different set of cases that places review of arbitration decisions in a different light. Or they create an exception. Or they use a summary order that’s not to be cited. Or they hold on these facts only. Or they use other methods. It’s not as clear cut as you suppose,
The CA2 ruling in the Brady case makes it pretty darn clear cut. I don’t like it but they essentially said Goodell can do whatever he wants under Article 46.

not sure this TD celebration assault will help the case..

The initial request for a settlement was actually for over $10 million but was downgraded to a mere 2 millions.

Is this true? If I’m Brown, I gladly give her a million bucks and force her to sign something that says the matter is closed and that she won’t talk about it with anyone.

I honestly haven’t even paid attention to how much she’s asking for. For some reason, I thought it was around 1.5m.

Aw geez, someone yells 'pretentious' and look who comes runnin' :p

Excellent point! Prior responding to your post, I had zero posts in this thread, so it was just the siren call of pretention that brought me running to your nonsense.

Oh, wait....

Kraft needs to teach him that it's much less expensive to negotiate the price beforehand rather than after.

Well yes, that's what this is, who was better is more who people liked more. It's a popularity contest, not some kind of stats fest where you can compare them. They played different roles on different teams.
It's not a popularity contest, it's a super bowl contest. Wes=0.

Yeah well AB insists he's innocent. That means he isn't going to give in and give her a dime. Paying people to go away (If you are innocent) sets a bad precedence. I understand some fans want him to just pay her so we can all focus on football. But if he's innocent he's innocent.

So apparently the nfl will interview his cousong marquise brown of the ravens when was also there and he is supposed to provide testimony that backs up antonio brown.

Found it funny that PFT mentioned the NFL might be skeptical to take his corroboration at face value because he is his cousin. Thats why this NFL investigation is so pointless. Without evidence its more he said she said and who you "want" to believe more.

And if the case gets thrown out in civil court would look bad on the NFL to suspend someone on civil allegations

I suppose I'm not articulating my point very well. Most lawyers who actually practice law should know what I mean. I've already spelled out several ways to get around Parker's opinion if the district court or another Second Circuit panel wants to.

The ruling was a direct referendum for the NFLPA to actually negotiate different wording, rather than drag the federal court system into it each time. The CBA is upcoming, so you’d think the NFLPA would negotiate Goodell’s powers, but that probably won’t happen. It’s about the revenue sharing and health care benefits foremost.

We'll see what the NFLPA does. The last time this issue was pretty far down on the list of issues the Union negotiated. Maybe it moves up the ladder of importance because of the Brady case.

Rumor is that Kraft is not too happy with having Brown on the team. Not sure if that will matter or come into play anyway. I read that if he had known about the accusations he would not have made the deal to get him. It is what it is at this point.

I read that as well.

Could also be a PR leak by Kraft to distance himself from the transaction in case the NFL decides to punish AB.
