NFL Week 2 Games

You done messed up, A-a-aron!

Mason Rudolph is in, and the clock starts on Fat Ben’s disgraceful end.

Jimmy G having quite the day 35 for 52 463 4 TDs.

Edit Damn CBS scoreboard was slow and screwy all day.
It turns out Jimmy G's final stats were actually 17 for 25 297 and 3 TDs.

The Chargers have lost Adrain Phillips, Derwin James, Melvin Ingram, and Joey Bosa. I feel for them.

Wow! huge pass interference challenge by Carroll resulting in a 38 yard penalty. Woulda been 3rd and 20 in a 2 point game

Nice. Seattle now up 9 with 7 minutes left. Will Ben come off the bench?

Doubt it, he's got the headset on and looks like he's out for the game.

Wow, the Lions are beating the chargers late 13-10 and have the ball

Lamar Murray 25 for 37 350 has a chance to lead a late TD drive to beat the Ravens.

How stupid is Jax for not kicking the XP with 30 seconds left to tie it and going for 2 point instead?

Lions interception and another AFC team is no longer undefeated.

Wow Kirk Cousin really sucks.

KC defense worse than last year.

Even with the pick, Brissett's line looks solid at the half. Nothing world beating, but he definitely looks like a solid starter, 108 yards passing, 2 TDs, 1 pick

Brissett kind of reminds me in some ways of early-years Brady. In fact the Colts as a whole remind me rather strongly of an early 2000s Pats team from before TB12 really broke out. If this is his ceiling, and it might be... it's a decent ceiling. He belongs.
Brissett had a very rough second half, but got a clutch TD to take the lead back and then led a clock eating drive that didn't result in points, but did kill most of the rest of the clock.

Brissett isn't a premium QB, but he's a very, very good game manager and field leader. Like I said, he reminds me a lot of early Brady, and from that standpoint, he had one of the roughest, grittest, most frustrating great games I've ever seen.

So far this year, Brissett has played 2 games on the road against postseason contenders. He won 1, and came within a coin flip of winning the other. In each game, he staged a late rally to put his team in position to win. Against the Chargers his team lost the coin toss and couldn't get a stop against Phillip Rivers, not his fault. This time, Brissett led the team to a touchdown and made it stick by burning clock. Not dominant, but any win against playoff contenders is a good win.

No matter how you count it, Brissett is 2 for 2 in Doing His Job so far this year.

This kid may wind up being a lot better than people think he is
