It was as if Rivera/Arians were competing with Newton/Winston to see which level of football last night was more incompetent. The coaches or the QBs. That two-in-a-row timeout penalty on Arians at the end of the game - - to bring the ball halfway closer to the endzone (which, of course the Panthers upped the hilarity by blowing the goalline) was Monty Pythonesque.

And they should really move on from him. Watching him via the skycam last night was shocking- it showed just how much he is getting by on talent alone. He doesn't even try to diagnose what the defense is showing, doesn't even bother engaging in body language to fake his intents, doesn't even hold the safety over MOF. He just goes right for what he deems is the open guy.

Makes me think of Brett Favre- it never surprises me that there are and continues to be QB's that just get by on talent alone.

I think Cam will be fine. He isn't running the ball like he used to.....something is up, IMO.

Denver broke him in the SB. Yah, he was still good enough to kick our asses in Gillette 2017, but our D was uncoordinated and racking up 3rd down penalties all day. Plus, Brady to Dwayne Allen mosques EDIT: mistakes killed the O.

That game still annoys me....and it followed the Kuechly-non-call-on-Gronk game in Charlotte a few years before that.

“I feel OK,” Newton said after the Thursday night game when asked if he felt comfortable running the ball. “You’re not going to hear no type of reasons why tonight didn’t go as planned. I have to be better. No matter what physical condition I’m in, no matter what foot or shoulder, I didn’t get the job done tonight. It’s frustrating, and I wish I could say something other than that but that’s the facts.”
