Colts have 40m in cap space. We have 5m. Yet, BB gives one of their late cuts more than them. Hmmmm

Mike Reiss reports that the Patriots had quarterback Mike White of Western Kentucky in for a tryout. Did the Cowboys cut him?
I'll answer my own question. Yes.

I wish it were Danny White.

People had liked Mike White for us I like him as a PS QB
I don't think we need to do anything this week, or even next, but eventually we are going to need a PS QB

Henry is an interesting guy. Has had injury issues but played well when he got the opportunity in 2017, with 3.5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries. Undersized DT but has some interior pass rushing skills, from what I have read. The majority of the Ravens fans posting on message board were not happy that they cut him, or at least were surprised that it happened. Prior to training camp he was seen as a guy who could “make the leap” and be a consistent contributor.

Willie Henry is first surprise cut for Baltimore Ravens

Do the Pats still have openings on the PS? You'd think they'd at least sign guys as placeholders.

The Practice Squad has had additions every couple of days; the latest are two DB's Obi and Brooks.

We have 10. There is some dispute on whether we are allowed an 11th.

There is always lots of PS transactions. Most players are there as future hopes.

I rarely am able to judge whether any could reasonably be expected to help us if they are activated.

Who do you see as valuable parts of the 2019 team? I see Obi and Kamalu. Both could be the next man up if there if players moved to IR.

BB has been very good at picking up replacement players from other teams as needed. I don't expect that to change.

For example, we had the scare with Cannon. PS players weren't activated.

I'd argue that the majority of PS players often is there to have diverse options for the scout team. Others are emergency depth and a small handful are actually really developmental players.

I don't think there's any dispute. Jakob Johnson wasn't signed to the PS with an exemption, so he's eligible to be promoted by us or another team, but takes up a spot. We've never carried more than 10 players on the PS this year so I don't think there's evidence we have an exemption.

Once the season is underway they generally have a core 7-8 practice squad and the bottom 2-3 slots are tryouts.
