On to Miami!

Fitzpatrick seems like a cornerstone piece you build a defense around. A real leader on the field.

Maybe he's a Milloy-esque problem in the locker room who knows, but I can't think of a worse start to a coach's tenure than Flores'.

I feel like Patricia had a harder start. With Flores at least the local media didn't write enraged columns about him making the team run more in preseason.

Both had a similarly rough start. I think Patricia lost to the Jets on MNF last year.

At least with Flores you can always file it under "tanking".

Then beat us in week 3.....

I am worried about this game...I hate games in which everything on paper screams out, "Blow out victory!"

Any given Sunday!

I would be more worried if the "Miami Miracle" didn't happen last year. But a good part of this year's team was there for it and vividly remembers what one short lapse of concentration can cause.

They might still lose but it will not be because they don't approach the game with all necessary focus.

Will Miami be able to even field 46?

Cannon questionable is a damn surprise.

Especially the second part something to bookmark and post to people who suggest "just using a big WR as a TE".

I think a good way to put it is you can't easily play a wide receiver as a "tight end", but you can use wide receivers instead of tight ends to attack similar parts of the field. It's still different, but it mitigates some of the tools the offense lost.

Were those the last remaining players I've heard of? Well, there's also Eric Rowe.

Is Rowe actually a player? He seems more like a nightmare of our collective imaginations.

One of my (many) pre-draft evaluation misses. I thought he'd be pretty good.

He may allow lots of completions, but he sure knows how to follow his man in coverage.

He was the Michael Floyd of cornerbacks, here.

Also a good reminder of what made Tony Gonzalez special, for anyone tempted to dismiss him as "just a big receiver."

To be fair, there are different TE positions like a "move" TE. For instance, could you tell me the difference between Jacob and Cody Hollister? The difference would be in experience and technique.....not body type.

Funny that he used Gonzalez as an example and not another future HOF TE
