Any reason this can't go into one of the 1,209 existing AB threads on the first page?

But manning was nfl royalty, and he didn’t play for the pats....to the other 31, that’s a huge difference

Madden 20 is now updated with Brown on the Patriots.

Let's Rooooooooock!!!!!

He did. His technique got a lot worse. Started to try to catch the ball with his body for some reason.

Strangest fan reaction I have witnessed on a draft pick. He was drafted 59th overall, but it was considered heresy to suggest he might not be a hall of fame lock from the second he was "a sure draft steal" to the second before he was released. Always a much better player in everyone's mind than in reality.

If Brown gets suspended the last thing I'm going to do is cry and complain about about "unfair" it is. The dude's entire offseason has been distractions and questionable judgement. At some point the NFL can just invoke the personal conduct policy.

The only reason we have AB on our team in the first place is because of how much turmoil he's gone through. Don't forget that. If he misses time, nobody can say it blindsided us.

She may not be lying at all, her account of events may be completely accurate. But I’m saying that if someone is going to say “I know this happened because I’ve seen it happen” it relevant whether they actually saw it happen or they are just relaying what they were told. I now can back up his story just as much as he can in that I can repeat what I was told about it.

As to why her account could be inaccurate- She may have been told by the police the case is difficult to prove and got discouraged and took that as they wouldn’t take it seriously.
I'm not understanding your point. Are you saying the only way to credibly state that a rape occurred is if you were there and witnessed it? Aren't the vast majority of these cases based on he said / she said arguments with other circumstantial evidence thrown in (witness accounts before and after the incident). I mean even when they find dna evidence, the guy just has to say it was consensual. The women generally have an uphill battle to prove they were raped.

I can only recall one case where there were witnesses, the girl that got raped in that bar in New Bedford (I think). I suppose others would be gang rapes where one of them confesses.

Maybe I missed your point.

Horrible number.

This should all hinge on the unnamed "football player" as a witness to the circumstances the night she was supposedly raped. What was she doing anyway out having dinner with them all and going back to Brown's house and goes inside with him because she says she had to use the bathroom? If he assaulted her two times before she wouldn't go near him.

Just looked at the website and he has not been assigned anything. False alarm guys.

Do you think BB calls up the website team and tells them to change it?

it was the only clean shirt

You would think someone who has already been sexually assaulted twice would not offer to drive home (ever hear of Uber?) and then would not come inside to use the bathroom, making herself somehow, of all places on earth, alone with her attacker again.

She said she then was semi-conscious after the rape, then tried to drive back to her hotel but passed out at a stop sign. This would certainly account for any witnesses who saw her return to the hotel the next morning, rather than the night before. Still no incident report? No one noticed an unconscious woman just passed out in her car for hours? Unconscious, passes out, but doesn’t get medical treatment.

Please take some photos. This may be the closest we get to seeing it actually happen :)

The said on SportsCenter that his dad, Eddie Brown, used to wear #17 when he played in the arena league, and that’s why it’s significant to him.

I still don’t think it’s permanent, though.

Terrible story.
Where there other details? Like did they refuse to allow her to file the complaint or did they tell her how difficult it would be to win? I see a huge difference there.
The other consideration could be with her being “blackout drunk” what kind of witness would she make?
It’s horrific that the people who did that to her go free but it probably would have been worse for her to go through a trial and have them found not guilty.

I agree that not reporting isn’t proof of anything. But I do think not reporting, then going for the money grab is extremely suspicious. I can’t think of the reason to not report that wouldn’t also keep you from filing a civil suit against a celebrity that will have you directly in the center of the news cycle.
Here's where I disagree with the guy you responded to. As far as I know, This is NOT like she went to the police and was told to "move on". She never reported this to ANYONE in authority. I think that is a distinction that needs to be emphasized when we are talking about believability.

Clearly anyone who has read my posts know that I am firmly on the side of women who suffer sexual assault, and my initial reaction is always going to be on their side. However, try as I may, I can't seem to see it in THIS case. Too many conflicting statements, too many inconsistencies, too many factors that make it look like a money grab.
