The best part of using the ignore function...







...is making a big announcement to let the person you’re using it for know he is on ignore.

I probably should have done the same thing. Instead, I started a thread about my wish for the Patriots to cut ties with Brown that -- inevitably -- led to more discussions about the lawsuit.

If you ignore your own ignore, did it even happen? I'm gonna go to the top of a mountain and think about it for a few years.

Side note, I'd like to make one request: If something major DOES happen with the Antonio Brown situation, could we start a new thread so I don't have to figure out where in the 120+ pages of the current one I need to go to find the fecking news?

Maybe more sauce? With Brown on the roster, it feels like this year is either going to be epic (15-1/16-0) or a trainwreck by Patriot standards (10-6/11-5). Either way, being intoxicated will probably help the celebration or hair pulling frustration. Just remember, go local. Also, blueberry beer has lots of antioxidants to help combat stress.

The ignore feature, including ignoring specific posters, on this site is why I still can come and read stuff. I do laugh a little when I can tell when people are arguing with someone I have on ignore but at least I don’t have to see posts.

This is the trade thread. Namely, can Belichick extend then trade Brown to the Jets for a second round pick and Demaryius Thomas?

I'd put watching someone make the exact point a poster they have on ignore already made right up there with it. "This person melted the edges of my snowflake but I am agreeing with them from deep in my safe space...without knowing it."

Obviously you feel the topic important enough to launch another thread.

Great idea! I was thinking along those lines yesterday. Cripes the Pats are my escape from the crappiness of life. I hate it when they are embroiled in stressful drama too.

It took me many many years to place a user or two on ignore.
I reinstated them both the day Josh Gordon was reinstated.

Once a thread gets over 20 pages, I can’t keep up and ignore them manually. I prefer more threads than wading through half a dozen pissing matches and repetitive opinions. I’m sure I miss something good once in a while, but those mega threads are just too much.

It got messy for me too, in a different way. I kept checking in for news, but instead of updates I was hit with squirts and ejaculations.

The “X” option is cowardly if the poster doesn’t state why. But we have childish posters that will read this post and click on it just to give themselves a kick....go figure
