Avenatti and his clients have nothing to do with CBF and her allegations against Kavanaugh; Avenatti didn't represent CBF.

No but he represented 2 women who clearly lied & faced no repercussions for lying.

CBF did not know ....
How she got to the party
Where the party was located
Who was there
How she got home.

Yet, some people believed her because because they wanted it to me true. She would have been
Destroyed by a lawyer in a court of law.

Human morality is a human morality.
Animal morality is not the same thing because it is based upon different levels of intellect and life circumstance. See Maslow.

Then why does my dog protect me, and not rip out my jugular in the middle of the night?

Because its brain chemistry dictates its behavior.

Then why does my dog protect me, and not rip out my jugular in the middle of the night?

Because your dog is the product of centuries of evolution, breeding, and interdependence with humans, which has affected dogs' brain structures.

Go find a wolf in the wild, which shares 99.9% of the DNA as your dog, and it will rip your jugular out. Biologically dogs and wolves are essentially identical -- they are "designed" in basically the same way. Yet they behave in radically different ways.

IMO, this is because animals (humans included) are products of our settings and environments, not some hard-coded moral reality.

I’ll bet the Pats knew about this before they signed him, and they were convinced by Brown and Rosenhaus that it’s BS. If the NFL puts him on the exempt list he should sue them. There’s no criminal case here, which should tell you something.

Goodell can pick and choose who he wants to punish and not punish. He doesn’t have to be consistent.

Agreed, every case that comes up seems to have wildly different punishments. (no evidence about a possibly deflated ball: 4 games, hard evidence of beat up a child: zero games etc etc).

They need to state criteria and outcomes for each type of incident and level of evidence otherwise there's no parity from case to case.

Except that's their only leverage against New England so they won't do that.

Anyone that says the Patriots are boring is full of it. There is drama at every turn.

I love us playing the victim card! Always galvanizes the team.

Well there are provisions in contracts that deal exactly with the past. If you remember the way the Pats went after some of the signing bonus of Hernandez was based on language stating that there was nothing he knows about that would prevent him from playing.

Now in his case that meant being arrested and in jail but if the commissioner puts him onto the exempt list based on something he did in the past and is being sued for in a civil case things will get interesting.
The "representations and warranties" section common in many contracts.

Dude give it a rest. The selfie of Brown and Brady is LITERALLY INSIDE HIS HOUSE.

I wonder if Brady is still "a million percent" for it. Presumably yes given Giselle's instagram.

Looks like Dorsett got his wish.
Dorsett will be in shooting distance of AB. I won't go further and explain that one...

Homo sapiens only emerged 300,000 years ago with modern equivalents only 50,000 years ago
Homo erectus might not have had any more morals than Homo sploogeonherbacktus

I recall no evidence of Daniels lying; in fact, she received a financial payment to settle her case. But I'm less familiar with these other two women you're referring to.

Re: CBF, I personally found her credible, and IMO there was room to believe both her and Kavanaugh's account.

Two people can experience the same event and recall and process it very differently. For instance, what may have been playful wrestling/fun to Kavanaugh may have been perceived as crossing a line by CBF. I don't think that idea is particularly far-fetched.

I try my best in these cases to give each party the benefit of the doubt and assume they're coming to the table in good faith.

Not to belittle all you guys but....all the talk about intelligent design and dog behavior and human morality...if any of you ever met my ex-wife you would certainly become unsure of the very fabric of the universe...my only conclusion after a lifetime of pondering this is that at the core of all existence dwells utter chaos. One cannot make sense out of that which defies the very meaning of order and design.
