Well it looks like Peter King has made up his mind on guilty or not guilty. This reads very poorly for AB.
Peter is no longer involved with MMQB

The depth chart without Brown is

Edelman, Gordon, Dorsett, Meyers and Gunner. DT would not get the PT.
Brown didnt play Sunday either.

After my morning walk came to this possibility, the lawsuit will be dropped by both sides for no announced reason. Meanwhile behind the scenes she will get paid off for her dropping the suit, very strict non disclosure agreement and all sides will claim victory..

Neither side will want to stretch this out any more than necessary..

my prediction is that this goes nowhere

mostly because it reeks of opportunism and the alleged incidents happened in a post #MeToo world........even the #MeToo people are steering clear of this one
Me too.

I told you people that AB is a cancer, but you would not listen.

The drama and problems have only just begun.
Maybe so but the Pats aren't marrying the guy. It's a one year contract. Maybe they can get a Super Bowl then a third round compensatory pick for him next year. I'm with BB on this one: he's worth a one year risk.

Doesn't matter, she is alleging RAPE. You don't try to just "get what you can" for it, you (and law enforcement) want the bastard behind bars. You want JUSTICE. That's why her first action being a civil suit -- coinciding within a day of him signing a guaranteed contract -- smacks of opportunism.
Just a coincidence
Like Ortiz tossing out the first pitch 18 hours after the Sux sh*t-can their used car salesman

So I just talked with a female co-worker about this. She knows next to nothing about football and had no idea what I was talking about.

I started by saying I've seen enough crazy from Brown to believe the accusations, then proceeded to tell her the story, how she was his trainer, and then the three incidents she claims.

She instantly had a confused look on her face, said that didn't make any sense, and within 30 seconds was thinking they were probably sleeping together and now there's some hurt feelings.

A kid that I know who went to Miami as a LB started as a True freshman went out one night with a friend. They picked up a girl and had sex with her. The next day she tells her friend she had a threesome with two football players, the friend calls her a slut and suddenly it became rape. They were kicked off the team and them kicked out of school before an investigation started.

A few months later they were cleared and she was charged with falsely reporting a crime.

Technical point: I believe they can get a fifth rounder but not a third.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see if there was ever a criminal complaint. Looks pretty flimsy if she never pursued it.

Timing is suspicious......Happened in 2017 and 2018 ...WTF took so long to file charges????

Money...money...money grab....

He was reportedly inactive on Sunday because they were being cautious with the hamstring. They just brought him back last week and gave him a 300k dollar raise. I think it’s fair to question whether or not the Brown signing had anything to do with their decision.

I’m not sure what you mean by dunking my head, but there’s probably no need to continue to put 15-20 red “X’s“ next to each and every comment. I fully understand that you disagree on the subject of whether Thomas’ release had anything to do with Brown, but there’s really no need to be a douche about it, is there?
Reportedly? Or something you just thought up? Because I didn't see that "report" at all.

Oh. And if I disagree with a post, I'll disagree with it. If you continue to make provably incorrect and hair-on-fire posts, I'll continue to disagree with them.

You've moved the goalposts from your original position "Thomas and Brown are both gone", and have apparently hoped no one noticed just how silly it was, as you continue to move them.

Brown's culpability is yet to be determined, but can we please deal with reality? And not declare wild speculation as absolute fact?

… I think with a civil lawsuit, the Patriots seem to have handed it off to the NFL. … Based off of that, I’m interpreting he’ll be out there, and if he’s out there today, you’d think he plays Sunday unless something turns up.” Schefter also floated the possibility the NFL places Brown on the commissioner’s exempt list until the league was able to gather more information. That would allow the Patriots to still carry 53 players — not including Brown — on their roster. But even that decision might be “premature,” Schefter said. “That’s another option here (the exempt list). In talking to some people last night about that possibility, they thought it was a bit premature, but these things can change quick and sometimes take unexpected turns.

I’d hope this has been mentioned within 50+ pages so far, but putting Brown on the exempt list - a de-facto suspension - all due to an accusation, would be a dangerous precedent. Perhaps unless there were significant circumstantial evidence.

Chiefs didn't cut tyreke, we should keep AB. I want to win the SB, Ab helps us with his play. The league is littered with scumbags, every team has bad guys. Did the Steelers cut Big Ben?? Nope...these aren't choir boys.

The lawyer tossing the passed polygraph out there screams of affecting public sentiment .... pay us.

I described the 3 alleged instances.

How does a person ejaculate on another persons back while sitting down watching a church service on an iPad?

It does not matter how. He seems to admit it in his text messages. I would contend that it is not a big deal to people having consensual sex. She did not care at the time. If she did, should would have NEVER gone back to him a 3rd time.

I don't think they settle because they already disclosed a whole lot of stuff.

I'll reserve judgment until more comes out.

I remember accusations against Peyton Manning, right?
Rothlisberger rings a bell...

I remember accusations against Julian Edelman, right?

So who knows?

Having said that, apparently there was some Raiders' tweeting (friend of a friend kind of stuff) that something like this was coming a few days ago.

IF, big if, the Patriots were really caught off-guard here, the Raiders, Brown, and Brown's agent could be in for some ****.

If Brown's getting suspended, dropped, bums it out that DT is gone. I really wanted to see him working against 3rd corners.

And if he pays her $1,000,000 this all goes away, the lawsuit is dropped and he is reinstated. This really sets an amazingly bad precedence for the NFL.
Reinstated from what?

Brown's not, nor will he be suspended before the NFL completes its investigation.
